Template:Place Hateno Village is a location in Breath of the Wild. Hateno Village is a permanent Hylian settlement in East Necluda. Since the destruction of the kingdom of Hyrule by Calamity Ganon, Hateno is the larger of only two Hylian permanent settlements that survive at the beginning of the game (along with the smaller Lurelin Village), having managed to escape the worst effects of the calamity that destroyed almost all other Hylian permanent settlements.

Features and Overview

Hateno Village is populated by Hylians. The village is located in East Necluda and sits due east of Hateno Tower. The Myahm Agana Shrine is located in the village and the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab overlooks the village from a large hill to the east. The peaceful village contains an Inn and a few shops, including the East Wind General Store, an armor shop and the dye shop. The environment is decorated by two large working windmills,[1] several blue flame lamps and several Apple trees.

The Great Ton Pu Inn

Prima manages the counter of The Great Ton Pu Inn, where Link can stay to restore health and pass the time. Worten can also be found drinking on the Inn's patio or resting inside the Inn at night. An older man, Leop, welcomes visitors and encourages them to visit the Inn. During the day, just outside the Inn, Manny stands near a donkey stable. Link can speak with Manny to begin the Side Quest, "A Gift for My Beloved", where Manny attempts to woo Prima.

Bolson Construction

Colorful new model homes built by Bolson Contruction are open to guests.[8] Bolson, a construction boss, can be found near the Myahm Agana Shrine. He oversees the demolition of a vacant house.[9] Working for Bolson are Hudson, a veteran in construction, and Karson, a rookie.[10] Speaking with Bolson begins the "Hylian Homeowner" Side Quest.[11] Link can purchase this house and contract Bolson for various upgrades and fixtures for the house.[12] Hudson eventually leaves for the Akkala region to expand the business into a whole new town, which begins the "From the Ground Up" Side Quest.[13]

Wife Ralera and husband Rhodes take rotating shifts watching the windmills.[19] Ralera is a native of Lurelin Village and moved to Hateno Village after marrying Rhodes.[20]

Nikka, a woman, and Nack, a man, live with their children, Nebb and Narah. Nikka talks with Amira during the day, gossiping about the "girl" at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab.[21] Nack works a garden and gives Link information about several locations. Nebb and Narah run around the town. Link can begin "The Weapon Connoisseur" Side Quest by talking with Nebb.[22]

Medda is another gardener, who lives with his daughter, Aster.[23] Aster run around the town and shows dances to Link.[24]

Koyin loiters around the farm, while Dantz cleans out a stall. "The Sheep Rustlers" Side Quest can be started if Link speaks with Koyin.[27] Dantz asks Link to hunt for deer to control the population.[28]

When not sleeping at the Kochi Dye Shop, Sefaro can be seen playing spies with Azu during the day.[29]
