Trophies are collectible items within the Super Smash Bros. series with no further purpose that first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, there is a trophy lottery where lottery coins, that are accumulated by battling in the various modes, can be used. Lottery coins can be put in the machine and the machine will randomly choose a trophy. The more coins that are put in, the better chances of getting a new trophy.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, trophies return and serve the same purpose as in the previous game. In place of the lottery, a Coin Launcher game appears to obtain the trophies. The player must shoot down trophies they wish to receive as well as avoid missiles that will decrease coin numbers. In The Subspace Emissary, Coin stands are items that can be used to capture enemies in trophies after they have been weakened.
