Hey!

Jeangabin, why are you knocking out all of the "See Also" sections on all of those pages? They are an integral part of the page, as they direct readers' interest towards related topics, even if the topic is already mentioned in the article. I must say that I'm not a fan of them either, but they do support interconnectivity of the wiki. Never mind, its actually the other way around. — cipriano^talk 14:51, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

In regards to the See also sections, format them like this:

Link

Princess Zelda

Ganondorf

</seealso>

That ensures they're all formatted the same way and saves a bit of space on characters. Have a line for each page to link to. You don't have to format it as a link. It does that on its own. To have the links say something else, go like this:

<seealso>

Link

Princess Zelda|Zelda

Ganondorf|Ganon

</seealso>

Arrghus

Well, I speak Armenian (First Language), English (Second Language), and a little Russian. My sister speaks japanease and korean, however. I think Arrghus is dervived from the name of Argus Panoptes, which is a giant with a hundred all-seeing eyes in greek mythology. OK dude, last warning

The edits saying "See Also" in the LttP characters page (for example) are way out of line with what that page is for. You simply don't say: "See Grandma Ulrira" beneath a character that has nothing to do, nor is even in the same game as the Ulriras. Axiomist (talk) 19:50, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Well, that particular edit wasn't bad. Considering the same characters have similar qualities and such. I didn't have an issue with that, it's some of your more...far stretched edits ( like adding a character to a see also section because they lived in the same habitat). Multiple edits

Hello! I noticed you've been making a lot of edits to the same page over a short time. Doing this puts a large strain on our server and clogs up the recent changes. So instead of saving a lot, use the "show preview" button next to the "save page" button. It'll allow you to view your edit for any mistakes so you don't have to make a lot of fixing edits or additional ones, okay?Mandi ^Talk 04:33, February 17, 2010 (UTC)

New Plan

We've really gotta discuss how to proceed with those See Also sections. You're right that many of these things could/should link to one another. However, the "See Also" sections are meant to complete the information on the article. Link for example could use See Also sections to Dark Link, Links, Wolf Link, etc, etc, etc. Bc essentially they are the same topic. I'm looking over and cleaning up the ones you have now, so don't worry about changing those.

One alternative idea, we do this alot around here. We have navigation templates, We can group some of the similar things/people/enemies, etc and make a new nav template. For example, you placed the teachers in See Also sections for one another; problem is, Tina and Dina have nothing more to say about Ms Marie. I'm assuming you did it bc they are teachers, that's one potential nav template right there, "Template:Teachers". It's too small to be a category, too unconnected for a See Also section, but would make a nice sized navtemplate for even Teacher, Blade Brothers, Oshus, etc. Axiomist (talk) 07:18, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

You can also go in your user preferences and check the box "Mark all edits as minor" under the "editing" tab. That will automatically check the "minor edit" box for every edit. I keep mine set that way.User:Justin ZW/sig 16:50, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Hey, man, these multiple edits are killing me. I can't see anything but your edits in the recent changes. I suggest copying a page to a document and working offline on it. Article Standards

Hey there! I noticed in pretty much...all? Of your recent contributions that you've been swapping the uppercase "A" for a lowercase "a" in the See Also sections and that's actually against our article naming standards. Adding Japanese names to articles

I have seen you take info from ZP for quite a while. Its been in small doses so, I havn't really cared or felt the need to complain, but you just made it blatantly obvious since you were just online at ZP. If you do not plan to edit both wikis actively, there is no way I can continue to allow you to blatantly steal our ideas and bring them over here. No, thats the thing, you don't edit both. Granted you have made 3 or so edits to ZP, so I won't say you don't edit at all. But the amount of unbalance here is disheartening. Because you aren't helping both of us equally, I cannot just allow you to come over, look up good info we have, and simply move it over here. And yeah, info comes from the Zelda series, but that doesn't mean you can't rip it from our wiki like you just did with the character lists and have done in various other places in the past. Joe, you should be glad that he's attempting to edit for the both of us, he's making sure there is consistency between his edits across wikis, even if it is unbalanced. And I guarantee users from ZP have come over here (and possibly still do) to snag info, however, we do not go over to ZP, stalk, and ride them for it. It's all the Zelda series anyway, and there is no problem in researching on a different wiki for something that may not be here. Jean, you aren't obligated to do anything at Zeldapedia. We ignore their plagiarism accusations when they don't even bother to offer links, and they tend to think they are staff members here as well as they bypass us and take their accusations directly to users. You haven't been around long enough to know, but Joe's drama-baiting gets old pretty quick. So best thing to do is not even give him the attention he's after. And if you suspect them of copying things you've added, you're probably right. We've even put false info on an article here and there, waited for their regulars to copy it, then fixed ours; leaving them with the junk bits. Just saying ya know. They've been predicting our self-destruction for at least a year now, and whaddyaknow, we got referred to in a Nintendo Magazine!Axiomist (talk) 05:16, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Autolinking full words

Hey, dude, how's it going? Been seeing this repeat in your work: you've been trying to link to things by typing [[page]]'s. Unfortunately, the wiki can't autolink the whole word if there's an apostrophe in it. To link those, you'll have to do the old pipe trick of [[page|page's]]. However, links like [[page]]s still work.
