"The Ancient City Gorondia?"

"The Ancient City Gorondia!" is a Side Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Overview

On the north end of Goron City, Link can find Dugby near the Mine Cart Tracks, where he is struggling to move a Mine Cart.[2] He recalls hearing that he can use the Mine Cart to reach the end of the Tracks, but he has been unable to make it move.[3] Dugby suspects that Gorondia is located on the other side of the Tracks.[4]

If Link asks about Gorondia, Dugby will initially be shocked, but he explains that it is an ancient city where Gorons lived in the ancient past.[5] Treasure, advanced technology, and strange vehicles can also supposedly be found there.[6] He reveals that he wanted to ride in the Mine Cart to search for this treasure, but he has been unable to move it.[7] Dugby warns Link not to share his secrets,[8] after which "The Ancient City Gorondia!" will begin.

Using Ultrahand, Link can place the Mine Cart on top of the Mine Cart Tracks. In order to get the Mine Cart to move, however, he will need to attach a Fan to the back. Once the Mine Cart is on the Tracks, Link is able to direct Dugby to sit in it.[9] After activating the Fan, Link must ride with Dugby to YunoboCo HQ at the end of the Tracks.[10] Upon disembarking from the Mine Cart, Dugby declares that he is going to search for Gorondia.[11] Noticing that Link is still there, Dugby realizes he must want a reward, and so he gives him a Zonai Charge.[12] He predicts that the treasure he finds will make him rich, and when that happens, he promises to hire Link.[13] Dugby then rolls off, and "The Ancient City Gorondia!" will be completed.
