ok, I uploaded the seasons symbols, but the page becomes a mess. I'd wait for some text in here first. Oh, and Noble Wrot you can discuss this page here, now that it's made ;). Let the Castle page be for general wiki discussions. Axiomist (talk) 09:25, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yeah, ok, works for me. If we can't put them with the text, we might as well make a gallery and label all the symbols. There are going to be a lot of pictures, after all. I would like to see those symbols, but I should really be in bed. Noble Wrot 16:28, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I put the symbols into one image and put it on the page, is it good enough? Kybyrian (T C) 15:43, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That looks good. Snazzy. I'm about to get to work on the Sage Medallions among other things. I want this to be good enough to become a featured article after we're done. It's new, but it'll be good, so I don't see why not. Noble Wrot 09:50, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I know the feeling there, I had that when I started the warp page. :P Good luck. Having a personal project page is an excellent way to learn things about ZW such as image uploading/sourcing, Referencing, pipelinking, etc. You may want to start linking pages here, as much as possible. I'm trying to find the best category for this page and I'll come up with some more content for the page, but I still plan to step back and let others do most of the creations here. Axiomist (talk) 04:06, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
All of the race symbols seem to be the same. However, each symbol for a certain race is in different colors because of the surface they are on. This ranges from game to game, of course. User:Austin2862/sig 04:25, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
What are you talking about, Zien? I was thinking of the race symbols from OoT, and all of those are different. Look at the Kokiri emblem on the Deku shield. It's definitely not same as the Goron emblem tattooed all over the Gorons' bodies.
I think I'll start a new section on here just for images. We can talk about symbols that need to be added in this space.
On an unrelated note, Axiomist, I added something to your Warping page that you forgot to mention. It's in the ALttP section. You'll have to finish writing for it. Noble Wrot 07:04, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I just finished a major update to the page. I want some feedback. How is it so far? Noble Wrot 08:15, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As an example, see this vs this. User:Austin2862/sig 13:57, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

I can't say I care too much about what color the symbols are, as long as they're the right shape. Well, the Kokiri emblem looks best in red, its usual color, but it's not limited to that. Noble Wrot 14:49, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Look, Axiomist! No hands! Well, that's a lie. I'm using those to type. What I'm saying is that I think I generally got the hang of this. I've gotten almost all the sections filled with at least a little information, and I added a new section today. Still need a lot of images, though. Noble Wrot 05:39, 6 April 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ocean King's Emblem.jpg
Crescent symbols are here, and the best I could get for the Ocean King's was to crop, rotate and enlarge the one from the Phantom Sword.Adam [ talk ] 21:00, 2 May 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't know if this has been covered before (I didn't catch it on this page), but that emblem from the Phantom Sword is also ontop of the Phantom Hourglass! -- RustyCage 01:24, 8 May 2010 (EST)
Also, you may be interested to check this out, may be worth a link or mention in the article. Adam [ talk ] 21:00, 2 May 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh yeah, the Cyclone Slate symbols are here, and here's a Maku Seed from OOA. Adam [ talk ] 21:39, 2 May 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Also, for the Zora, Goron and Kokiri symbols (and a lot more) just download this font and you can make them as high resolution as you'd like ;) Adam [ talk ] 19:40, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks, Adam. The Golden Frog symbols and the crescent moon and star will be most helpful. Noble Wrot 14:39, 6 May 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Yellow Symbols on Various Characters' Backs in Wind Waker

I've been scanning the pages here on this Wiki trying to understand or find out more about these symbols but I haven't seen anything. Surely someone else has noticed! On Tingle's back there's a snake, and on the Potion Shop guy from Windfall's back you can see some sort of wasp or hornet.. Oh, and this might not count, but the woman who wanted a pet pig on Outset has a symbol that looks like some grapes on her skirt - not sure if this falls into the same category (since it's not yellow or on her back), but the style of it reminded me of the style of the symbol on Link's sail. Investigation time, says me. I'm sure there are other characters with symbols on them. Question is: Do they mean anything? -- RustyCage 00:57, 8 May 2010 (EST)

Well, Hyrule Historia says that Tingle's cobra is "to intimidate enemies" so I'd guess it's just a design choice. And the fact that only one other person has a symbol leads me to believe that it's just a coincidence and probably not worth mentioning. —Darkness(Talk) 21:18, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Image Help

Images are essential for this page. If you can help find images for each symbol, it would be greatly appreciated. If you find symbols that go together in the same section, try finding a way to group them together in the same image, as shown by the seasons symbols.

Symbols needed:

  • Original crescent moon and star Gerudo symbol
  • Ocean King's Emblem
  • Symbol on switches in The Wind Waker
I've taken care of the first two. I don't recall what the symbol on the switches in Wind Waker looked like though. If I find a reference to work from I can probably take care of it. --Nosh 06:30, 12 August 2010 (EDT)

crest found in ss

In ss there is a floating crest object resembling the royal crest (without the triforce) that link strikes with a skyward strike to reveal vital information. This crest can also be seen in symbol form in specific locations on walls. Link sketches item drawings on it to receive the indicated item. This is not here. I don't know what to officially call it; basically I don't feel I have enough info on it to write a section, so here is the discussion. While I'm at it where are the best places to find info about this stuff so I do have enough to write sections? —Preceding unsigned comment added by PianoMastR64 05:40, 21 July 2012

The crest you're referring to is the Goddess Crest, which already has an article all on its own. Someone forgot to add it to this page, though! Anyway, if you look at the end of the article now Dany added an empty section on it with a link to the main article. Since it already has its own article, there's no need to write out all the information again on this page. A little summary would be nice, though!
Text Dumps, are probably the most valuable resource we have because they put all the games' text at our fingertips. Some of us also use the game manuals and the official guides (those written by Nintendo Power and Prima and such) to gather information. Does that answer your question? — Hylian King [*] 09:15, 21 July 2012 (EDT)
yes it does thank you. Also, towards the beginning of skyward sword, I spotted a bird-like crest on the back of Zelda's father's clothing I don't remember it clearly, but I don't think this article has it or refers to it. PianoMastR64 04:01, 25 July 2012 (EDT)

I was wondering if there is a different name for the crest seen in SS main logo. SS English Logo.png It seems to be the Hylian Crest with the Triforce above it. Pixel 17:54 November 3 2012 (ADT)

That would be the Royal Crest, wouldn't it? — Hylian King [*] 22:40, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm not sure, cause the Royal Crest has the Triforce where the birds head would be. It seems like a combination of two crests, or would this be an earlier/later version of the Royal Crest? Pixel 19:46 November 3 2012 (ADT)
I'm thinking the latter. The Royal Crest is pretty much the Hylian Crest with a Triforce on top; the Hylian Crest was seemingly modified in SS and, therefore, the Royal Crest was too. It'll be interesting to see if this version of the crest will appear in future Zelda titles. — Hylian King [*] 22:51, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Twili/Oocca/Undead symbols

Could we also get the symbols that are on the doors to the Arbiter's Grounds, Palace of Twilight, and City in the Sky? I think there might be symbols for the Icepeak Ruins, too.

Also: I think we should reorganize the page based on the khwiki page, and rewrite references across the wiki to refer to these symbols, rather than claiming stuff like "Gorons throughout the series bear the image of the Goron's Ruby", since it's fairly obvious the inspiration is meant to be the other way around.

Also also: the boss-door emblems in ALBW and TWW, for defeating each of the four bosses. Can we get those? In fact, does anyone want to start a project of going through the series and listing each symbol they find? If we can rip them all, and then describe where the symbols appear, we can do a lot better. For example, right now we're claiming that the Goddess symbols are primarily the Harp of Ages symbols, when they've been clearly repurposed as "truly" being the Goddess symbols.KrytenKoro (talk) 22:39, 16 January 2014 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Four Swords Elements

Can we address the fact that we haven't yet added a section for the recurring symbols of the Four Swords trilogy?

FSA Purple Royal Jewel Sprite.pngFSA Red Royal Jewel Sprite.pngFSA Blue Royal Jewel Sprite.pngFSA Green Royal Jewel Sprite.png FS Warp Pad - Chambers of Insight.png Hero's Keys.png

They should probably be vectorized before adding them into the page, though. ~~Miles07 (talk) 18:00, 27 May 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Skull Symbol

For a long time the monsters (specificlly those with the "blin" suffix) have had a skull symbol with the same basic appearence represent them. (examples: File:TWW Bokoblin Artwork.png, File:TWWHD Skull Necklace Artwork.png, File:TP Bulblin Render.png, File:SS Ornamental Skull Icon.png, File:SS Ornamental Skull Render.png, File:BotW Bokoblin Model.png) This was specifically highlight in Skyward Sword with the Ornamental Skull, but I do belive this has been a thing since at least The Wind Waker. Should this symbol be added as a tribal symbol? Madmoblin (talk) 22:58, 19 May 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
