For the Hero's Sake
For the Hero's Sake is an Object in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]
Location and Uses
For the Hero's Sake is the 11th of the 13 Ancient Tablets, and it can be found on the northwestern Small Island in the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago. When Link steps onto the center of the Small Island, the Tablet will break away and fall through the Drenan Highlands Chasm, eventually landing in the Great Hyrule Forest Depths. Link cannot read the Tablet by himself,[2] though he is able to show Wortsworth a Picture of it during the "Messages from an Ancient Era" Side Adventure to hear a translation.[3]
For the Hero's Sake describes the preparations Zelda and Mineru made to help Link in the distant future, and by the chamberlain's suggestion, her writings were inscribed on the Ancient Tablets and sent to float in the Sky.[4] This same process also sent the Temple of Time into the Sky to wait for Link.[5] Wortsworth wonders what it was like for the chamberlain to live through such occurrences.[6] As a reward for the Picture, Wortsworth gifts Link a Silver Rupee.[7] After examining Pictures of all Ancient Tablets, Wortsworth will display a copy of his translation of For the Hero's Sake on the Zonai Survey Team Base's wall.[8]

Mineru, the king's elder sister, says of this kingdom that it must not be caught unaware, not even for the far future.
Princess Zelda tells her that this future is written already, that a champion will from the sky come.
Between the two, they made to find a way to help this champion in that distant time.
Her mind true, they sought to raise up the Temple of Time, into the skie to ward it against evil.
All this so in far distant days, our kingdom might be saved.
In my heart I know I must help, and I asked of Mineru, can you devise the means to raise up into the sky these stones.
My words may not be enough, but they ensure the safety of these memories, of the royal family, high in the sky for that future time.
