Template:Place Yarna Desert lies to the southeastern side of Koholint Island in Link's Awakening. Hidden in the sands is a monstrous Lanmola that Link has to defeat to acquire the Angler Key.

Yarna Desert is the epitome of a typical desert, with little shrubbery other than cactus, shifting sands, and wind-swept skulls of creatures and people that couldn't escape from the wasteland. There are also huge skulls that resemble a tusked animal, indicating that the desert was once most likely a fertile locale. Now, only evil beasts stalk the desert, attempting to destroy anything located in their domain.

The desert is originally blocked by a large sleeping walrus, who only awakes upon hearing Marin sing the Ballad of the Wind Fish. However, he was not in the desert proper, only on the edge. The desert is only accessible from the region to the west called East of the Bay. It also borders Animal Village to the west, and the Face Shrine to the north.

There is a cave in Yarna Desert with a Piece of Heart.
