The Walrus is a character in Link's Awakening.[1][2]

Biography

The Walrus is a lazy walrus found sleeping East of the Bay, south of Animal Village, blocking the path to the Yarna Desert.[3]

Link must bring Marin and have her sing the "Ballad of the Wind Fish" to wake up the Walrus.[4] To the sound of Marin's song, the Walrus will dance before falling into the Water. If Link plays the "Ballad of the Wind Fish" again in the same area, the Walrus will reappear on the water.[5] It will talk to Link in walrus and then leave again.[6] As it swims away, a Secret Seashell flies up out of the Water and into Link's hands.
