Template:HW Stage The Valley of Seers is a stage in Hyrule Warriors. It contains "The Sorceress of the Valley," "Shining Beacon," and "March of the Demon King," the fourth, thirteenth, and fifteenth Scenarios in Legend Mode, respectively. In the Master Quest DLC pack, it also contains "Darkness Falls," the fifth and final Scenario in Cia's Tale.

The Sorceress of the Valley

After learning that it was Cia who opened the Gate of Souls and used it to summon monsters and invade Hyrule, Lana joins Link, Impa, and Sheik and accompanies them with the rest of the Hyrulean Forces to the Valley of Seers, where they seek to close the gate and thus stop the tide of monsters pouring out from it.[1]

With Cia waiting atop the Ruins Summit and summoning more Dark Forces to attack the Hyrulean soldiers,[2] Sheik suggests that they capture the West and East Keeps to provide a foothold against the Enemy Base.[3] However, Volga soon appears and engages in combat against Impa and her soldiers, delivering powerful attacks against the Hyrulean Forces.[4][5] After Lana aids Impa in defeating Volga, he flees from the battlefield and allows the Hyrulean Forces to capture the two vital keeps.[6] This leaves a path to the entrance to the ruins, but the allies find that it is being blocked by vines and the only way to get into the ruins is by lowering the bridge in the east side.[7][8] It is then that an Engineer offers to assist them and begins to head out to it from the Allied Base while the Hyrulean Forces protect him from the advancing Dark Forces trying to stop him.[9][10]

Once the Engineer safely reaches the East Ruins and lowers the bridge, Cia sends Summoners to the battlefield to thwart the Hyrulean Force's advance.[11] Furthermore, the allies discover that there are vines impeding the path to the summit of the ruins, thus Lana searches the Western Room for an item capable of cutting them down.[12] Conquering the temple reveals a Treasure Chest containing the Boomerang, which Lana, Link, Impa, and Sheik use to enter the Ruins Summit and confront Cia once and for all.

At the summit, the dark sorceress continues to summon monsters from within the Gate of Souls but stops when she realizes that her Triforce of Power is resonating due to Link and Sheik arriving at the scene.[13] Sensing the presence of two pieces of Triforce, she summons Manhandla from within the Gate of Souls. Although the giant monster begins to attack the Allied Base, it is quickly defeated by the Hyrulean Forces. Back at the altar of the ruins, as the Hyrulean allies are readying to close the Gate of Souls, Cia summons a dark circle and engulfs the allies from below, stealing Link and Sheik's Triforce pieces. With the Triforce complete, Cia opens three Gate of Souls from across three different timelines and frees the fragments of an evil spirit within her, empowering the dark sorceress even more and leaving only one fragment left to free: the one guarded by the Master Sword.[14][15]

Due to Cia opening the Gate of Souls through the ages, three portals from different appeared in the present day Hyrule. The young heroes, left with no other option but to split up and handle all three gates simultaneously, each depart to a different era, all charged with the task of closing their gate and returning safely from their quest.[16]

Shining Beacon

After defeating Cia's Forces at the Temple of Souls, Link and the Hyrulean Forces hurry back to the Valley of Seers to confront Cia for the final time. Cia however prepared herself immensely by fortifying her troops with her own life force, improving their Morale. The Hyrulean Forces enter the valley, but the Allies face a disadvantage as they find themselves split between the east and the west side. Lana discovers that specialized Keeps, Sanctums, were taken over and has their sacred power locked away. The Hyrulean Forces' commander, Princess Zelda (Ruto if playing as Zelda), advises that these Keeps be conquered to take back their power.

Zelda and Fi leave to find the Sanctums, while Lana intercepts the Western Keep. As Link fights to reclaim the Sanctums, Cia opens the West Ruins Room as enemies pour out to hunt down Zelda. She eventually sends more troops after Fi as well, all the while enhancing her troops with more of her energy. Eventually Link manages to conquer the two Sanctums, but Zelda senses that an evil power still persists. Lana tells her not to lose hope yet, as a third Sanctum also exists within the valley. She heads south to find the last one. After locating it, the Hyrulean Forces quickly conquer the final Sanctum, diminishing the Dark Forces' strength. Their success infuriates Cia, and she uses more of her life force to summon enemy reinforcements. Lana begs with her to stop as her spirit cannot take any more stress.

As the situation worsens, the Great Fairy beckons Zelda to come to her Fairy Fountain as the gateway opens. She quickly advances to the fountain with Impa in tow, and makes the fountain their Base. Darunia and Midna also hurry to the fountain as well. Zelda then devises a plan to draw as many enemy troops as possible in front of the fountain to stage their next plan of attack by using the fountain's Magic Circle. Cia, meanwhile, brings Volga onto the battlefield as she fortifies him with her power. With his new strength, he quickly leaves to intervene Zelda's plan, and enters the north area of the fountain. As Cia's troops gather around the fountain, Zelda commands the Magic Circle be used now. The circle summons the Great Fairy, who sends a massive bolt of light from the sky to strike down the enemies below, causing large-scale causalities. Alternatively, if the Hyrulean Forces summon the Great Fairy too early, Cia's army suffers little loss and grow in Morale.

The Great Fairy's attack greatly diminishes Volga's power and health. In his rage, he advances to strike back and regains Dark Power which recovers his health. Volga confronts Zelda and fights with her, however she reasons with him and questions how he could take joy in using Dark Power. She attempts to convince him that he should fight as a proud warrior, and not as a tool for the Dark Forces. Her words manage to convince him, and Volga regains his senses as pushes the dark from him. He then locates Link to fight him in a fair fight, but is soon defeated. Volga collapses, implied to have perished, and the front gate to Cia's base is opened.

Link then confronts Cia at the valley peak. During their fight, Cia uses the power of darkness to split herself into four copies. Despite this advantage, Link defeats her and the copies and the battle comes to an end. As Cia lays on the ground dying, Lana arrives and runs to her side. Cia passes as she fades away, and bequeaths the Triforce of Power into Lana's possession. With the war now seemingly over, Lana sends Darunia, Ruto, Agitha, and Midna back to their respective eras, and closes them with the help of Link's and Zelda's Triforce pieces. Hyrule's peace does not last long, however, as Ganondorf's final spirit fragment is released as the result of the Master Sword's removal from its pedestal.

After completing the Scenario, Ganondorf is unlocked as a playable character and his weapon, the Great Swords, becomes available for use.

March of the Demon King

The third visit follows the events from "Ganondorf's Return" in the Gerudo Desert. With his army finally built, Ganondorf marches along with his servants Zant and Ghirahim to secure the scattered Triforce pieces. He first arrives to the Valley of Seers seeking the Triforce of Power, which resides with Lana who had fled to the valley in an attempt to escape him. Ganondorf's Forces follow her there and are confronted by the opposing Hyrulean Forces' Gorons, with more reinforcements rushing to Lana's aid.

While attempting to reach Lana, Zant senses a sacred power in the valley's three Sanctums, and believes conquering them would give them an advantage. Zant and Ghirahim leave for the Sanctums, but Lana uses this as an opportunity to trap them inside. Ganondorf arrives to their rescue, by conquering the two Keeps and thus opening their gates. The take over of the Sanctums reduce the valley's sacred power, resulting in Lana's forces losing Morale. Just as Lana's situation turns critical, Impa and more reinforcements enter the battle and try to intervene. She splits herself into four other copies and scatters herself across the field. Fighting the other copies, however, proves to be fruitless for Ganondorf's army as they respawn. Zant then suggests they should continue to pursue Lana, which would make the real Impa reveal herself and rush to Lana's location to defend her. While Ganondorf pursues her, the real Impa reveals herself and is fought. After she is defeated, she hints towards a plan that suggests Lana will be able to escape. Immediately afterwards, she leaves the battle.

Ganondorf continues onward to the top of the valley, eventually confronting Lana. Upon defeating her, she suddenly warps away and relocates to the Fairy Fountain Keep. Impa from afar then instructs her to use one of the Magic Circles she had set up during the confrontation with Ganondorf to escape the battle. To further increase her chances of escape, Lana splits herself into two copies as both attempt to reach different Magic Circles on opposite ends of the battlefield. Ganondorf and his Forces charge after her, and defeat them both. He obtains the Triforce of Power, and sets out to Hyrule Castle to claim the remaining pieces of the Triforce.

By opening these gates, Cia had released the fragment of evil's spirit imprisoned in each of the other eras. The task before the heroes was therefore to travel through each portal and close its gate. Once all the gates were closed, they could begin repairing the damage Cia had inflicted on their land. With time growing short, Link and his allies split up to handle all three gates simultaneously. They each vowed to close their gate and return safely." — Narrator (Hyrule Warriors)
