Features and Overview
Features and Overview
Eldin is a vast region in northern Hyrule. It is a largely mountainous stretch of land that consists densely of steep hills, deep gorges, and volcanic activity. The region is a rugged valley to the south, but is otherwise a harmless trek. Further to the north and closer to Death Mountain, however, the land increasingly grows more perilous with harder terrain and pools and rivers of lava. As Link nears this area, the temperature grows exceedingly hot and causes Link and any wooden gear equipped to catch on fire. Link can withstand the high temperatures by consuming Foods or Elixirs that grant fire resistance, or by wearing any of the Flamebreaker equipment, allowing him to safely travel through the hotter climate. The northernmost region of Eldin along the ends of Hyrule is a barren, dead wasteland. This area is devoid of life and also appears to be a mass grave site, as it is inhabited by skeletal enemies and is the location of some skeletal landmarks, such as the Eldin Great Skeleton. Eldin is a major resource of Ores which are found inside Ore Deposits, and also has a high abundance of Luminous Stone Deposits.

Eldin is a vast Region in northeastern Hyrule. The Region is split into two distinct halves. The eastern side is a largely mountainous stretch of land that consists densely of foothills, deep gorges, and volcanic activity. It consists of two areas: Eldin Canyon and Death Mountain. The Eldin Mountains run north of Eldin Canyon and west into northern BotW. The Eldin Canyon is the largest of all these areas, covering almost the entirety of southern and eastern Eldin.

Due to its hotter climate, the region hosts a number of Hot Springs that will gradually recover Link's health as he swims through them. As another result of the high temperature, certain items will begin to burn as they are placed on the ground in the region's volcanic areas. Through this, it is possible to grill certain Foods. As very few people can naturally withstand the intense heat without the aid of Foods or Armor, the Eldin region is home almost exclusively to the Goron Tribe, who live in Goron City in central Eldin. Animals well adapted to the climate, such as Fireproof Lizards, Hotfeather Pidgeons and Eldin Ostriches, also inhabit the region throughout.
The Eldin Region initially starts off as a partially wooded and even road furthest to the south. Further to the northeast and closer to Death Mountain, the land grows increasingly perilous with harder terrain and volcanic activity, particularly beginning in the BotW. As Link nears this area, the Temperature grows exceedingly hot and causes Link and any wooden Gear equipped to catch on fire. Link can withstand the high Temperatures by consuming Food or Elixirs that grant Flame Guard, or by wearing any of the Flamebreaker Set, allowing him to safely travel through the hotter climate. Some areas such as Death Mountain and the Abandoned North Mine, are even hotter and require Link to either wear at least two Flamebreaker pieces, or to wear one and consume a Flame Guard Food. The northernmost area of Eldin is a barren, dead wasteland that sits along the ends of Hyrule. This area extends to the northwest through the Eldin Mountains.

A number of signs along the main road guides the way to Death Mountain Summit, by denoting certain areas as a Death Mountain Marker. The first of these signs begins at the Maw of Death Mountain and ends at the final sign atop Death Mountain Summit.
Due to its hotter climate, eastern Eldin hosts a number of Hot Springs that will gradually recover Link's health as he swims through them. Certain items will begin to burn as they are placed on the ground in the Region's volcanic areas as well. Through this, it is possible to grill certain Food. However, Bludo's back breaks again, forcing him to cancel their plan to drive away Vah Rudania. He asks Link to go to the Bridge of Eldin where Yunobo is to tell him the news. At the bridge, Link saves Yunobo again from a pair of Black Moblins. Despite the change of plans, Link announces that he wants to board Vah Rudania. The pair then team up as they lower the Bridge of Eldin and prepare to scale Death Mountain to weaken the Divine Beast.
During present events, eastern Eldin is plagued by the BotW. As Link enters the Region to quell Vah Rudania from Calamity Ganon's influence, he eventually meets the Gorons Bludo and Yunobo as part of the "Divine Beast Vah Rudania" Main Quest. Link and Yunobo band together to scale Death Mountain to weaken the Divine Beast, allowing Link to board it and regain control of Vah Rudania after defeating Fireblight Ganon.

Vah Rudania attempts to hinder their progress by deploying Guardian Sentries along the mountain path. However, the pair manage to sneak by and use the three Cannons stationed around the mountain to weaken Vah Rudania. The final Cannon sends Vah Rudania crashing down into Death Mountain's crater, allowing Link to board the Divine Beast. There, with the guidance of Daruk's spirit, Link activates the Divine Beast's Terminals and defeats Fireblight Ganon, allowing Daruk to regain control of Vah Rudania.

Death Mountain is the largest mountain in Eldin, reached by crossing the Bridge of Eldin. It is responsible for the region's high volcanic activity. The Divine Beast Vah Rudania crawls along its rockface during present events. Death Mountain has a much hotter climate than the rest of Eldin, necessitating the need to wear two Flamebreaker pieces, or one piece and consuming a Food with fire resistance, to safely climb it.

Not to be confused with the Eldin Province from Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, or the Eldin Tower Region from Breath of the Wild.

Eldin,(BotW | TotK | HWAoC)[1][2][3] also known as the Eldin Region,(BotW)[4] is a recurring Region in The Legend of Zelda series.

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Eldin is a vast Region in northeastern Hyrule. The Region is split into two distinct halves. The eastern side is a largely mountainous stretch of land that consists densely of foothills, deep gorges, and volcanic activity.[5] It consists of two areas: Eldin Canyon and Death Mountain. The Eldin Mountains run north of Eldin Canyon and west into northern Central Hyrule. The Eldin Canyon is the largest of all these areas, covering almost the entirety of southern and eastern Eldin.

The Eldin Region initially starts off as a partially wooded and even road furthest to the south. Further to the northeast and closer to Death Mountain, the land grows increasingly perilous with harder terrain and volcanic activity, particularly beginning in the Mountain Road.

Due to its hotter climate, eastern Eldin hosts a number of Hot Springs that will gradually recover Link's health as he swims through them. Certain items will begin to burn as they are placed on the ground in the Region's volcanic areas as well. Through this, it is possible to grill certain Food.[6] As very few people can naturally withstand the intense heat without the aid of Food or Armor, eastern Eldin is home almost exclusively to the Goron Tribe, who live in Goron City in east-central Eldin. Creatures well adapted to the climate, such as Fireproof Lizards, Hotfeather Pigeons, and Eldin Ostriches, also inhabit the Region throughout.

Eldin is also a major resource of Gems which are found inside Ore Deposits,[7] and also has a high abundance of Luminous Stone Deposits.

During present events, eastern Eldin is plagued by the Divine Beast Vah Rudania.
