In Majora's Mask, hot springs are vital to proceed through the game. Link must obtain Hot Spring Water to unfreeze the Goron Elder, who will teach him the "Goron Lullaby." The main hot spring is found inside the Goron Graveyard, located atop the Mountain Village. However, in order to reveal the hot spring, Link as a Goron must pull back Darmani's grave, which will immediately make the hot spring flow. The young hero can return to the graveyard at any time to store more hot spring water in an empty bottle.

Other than being able to store hot springwater for later use, hot springs are useful for completely recovering Link's health.

Hot Springs are recurring locations in The Legend of Zelda series.[name references needed]

Features and Overview

Majora's Mask

In Majora's Mask, three Hot Springs can be found. The first one is located in the Goron Graveyard. After obtaining the Goron Mask, Link can pull Darmani III's grave to reveal the spring. Link can use an empty Bottle to scoop some Hot Spring Water and unfreeze one of the Gorons outside the graveyard, the Goron Elder, and the entrance to the second Hot Spring. The second one is located inside a Secret Grotto in the second of the Twin Islands. The last spring can be found Beneath the Well in Ikana Canyon. It is protected by a Dexihand and can be used to get some Hot Spring Water for one of the Gibdos inside.

Twilight Princess

In Twilight Princess, there is a Hot Spring in Kakariko Village and another one in Death Mountain. The Kakariko Hot Spring is located atop the Elde Inn and is merely a small pond.[1] Link can only reach it via the Elde Inn. The Hot Spring from Death Mountain is a popular spot for Gorons.[2] There is also a Goron Store located in the far end of the Hot Spring. Besides scooping Hot Spring Water from them, Link can recover his Hearts by standing in Hot Springs.[3]

Breath of the Wild

In Breath of the Wild, a number of Hot Springs can be found across the Eldin Region and the Hebra Mountains. The Spring's warm waters will gradually replenish Link's Hearts so long as he is at least waist-deep in the water. A number of Hot Springs in Eldin are named, including Gero Pond, the Goron Hot Springs, Lake Ferona, and Lake Intenoch. Unnamed Hot Springs can also be found around the region. The various Hot Springs in Hebra are all named, including Goflam's Secret Hot Spring, Sherfin's Secret Hot Spring and Sturnida Secret Hot Spring. There is also an isolated unnamed Hot Spring in West Necluda just south-southwest of Mount Rozudo, and another located beneath Hyrule Castle. Link can also make Hard-Boiled Eggs by throwing Bird Eggs into Hot Springs.
