So what, is it like your day off or something? You haven't been this active in quite a while. :P {{:User:Ando/sig}} 20:29, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

:Onoz, Adam's not active! The world is coming to an end! :P {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 20:45, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

::Very funny guys, I'm allowed a life too y'know ;) It seems that lately the "free time" I have inbetween working (exploding servers, etc.) and sleeping (much more relaxing) has been getting ever shorter and more filled with other junk. But fear not, while I may have not been actively editing I've still stopped in from time to time to check this place was still here (check the [http://www.zeldawiki.org/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=patrol&user=Adamcox82&page=&pattern=&limit=500&offset=0 patrol log] if you need proof!) On a side note, one of my friends (who lives in a shared house) is going away for a few weeks and asked if I wouldn't mind babysitting his PS3 for him until he got back. Clearly, I couldn't refuse... so you'll know why I'm not around for the next while at least ;) But on a serious note, you'll know when I've actually abandoned this place for good, because the entire internet will actually come to an end, I'm just that important. If you'll excuse me, I'm off to inflate my ego now... {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}}06:21, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

:Awwww, Matt did you miss me so much that you've been watching the patrol logs, waiting for me to come back? I'm touched ;) Seriously though, I was away visiting family for a while, then it was my birthday, and inbetween that and work the little time I have been able to spend here was hampered by a combination of the recent performance issues, Monday's server crash and my own intermittant internet connection issues. But fret not, although I may not have edited I have been here in "passive mode" dropping in occasionally to make sure there's no crisis that needs attention. And with the super-low contribution levels in recent changes lately, it seems that Ando and the rest of you guys have things well under control :) {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 06:33, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
::Yes, quite worried >:( But, glad you haven't...y'know...kicked the bucket.{{:User:Mandi2517@legacy41958928/sig}} 22:18, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

::Well... That was fast. Yeah... There have been several crashes. Those should be over now. That was part of what was responsible for the low contributions. The site has been slowing down in the last few months. Happy birthday! See you later. It is really late here now.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">06:38, October 15, 2008 (UTC)</span>

:::HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM
== WiKirby ==
:::If I'd known it was your birthday, I'd have baked a cake! Granted, you couldn't have come over and eaten it, so it'd be up to me to do that, but, you know, whatever. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 14:38, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

== Sig ==
Seeing how Axi is away for awhile, I'll have to direct this to you. It seems that Austin's encountering the same problem that Brent had with WiKirby: It refuses to allow him connect. I believe it's the same thing where it can't process his request as before, so I would suggest raising another support ticket with bluehost about it. Talk to Austin for more specific details about the problem, though. Hopefully, this won't become a recurring thing :/{{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 20:04, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Dude, did you just <nowiki>{{subst:}}</nowiki> your sig on [[User talk:MARKOL|MARKOL's talk page]]? Because it sure looks like it copied the whole dang signature onto there ''(which kind of defeats the point of having small sigs!)''. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 15:34, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
== Question about Monaco.css ==

:Seriously man, are you stalking me? I get a message from you less than 5 minutes after I make a mistake - I feel violated :O
Hey, I was wondering if you'd be able to tell me how to edit the Monaco.css so that when someone edits a page, it makes a <nowiki><s></nowiki> like how it's done here. Is this something I'd be able to do or is that something Wikia is in control of? <span style="background:Black">[[User:Jo The Marten4982@legacy41961232|<font color="red">'''Jo the Marten'''</font>]]</span>([[User talk:Jo_The_Marten|<font color="red">'''Shriek'''</font>]]) [[Special:Contributions/Jo_The_Marten|<font color="red">ಠ_ಠ</font>]] 16:14, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
:Just kidding - it took me a minute to piece together why it was happening (and I'd already wondered why Matt advised to create a \sig2 page to point back to \sig), before I realised that the new nickname field automatically adds SUBST. Anywho, fixed now so i'll get back to installing extensions and stuff. {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 15:43, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

::Hmm... I was wondering if everyone fully understand how to use the nickname box yet. You know, how to make it so it does not substitute you entire sig's code.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">15:45, July 12, 2008 (UTC)</span>
:Um, I'm not quite sure I understand what you're asking about; did you mean the "Currently editing" bar that shows up when you edit a page? {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 08:20, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Aw man. Ok then. I'll fix it in a second. {{User:Mcoolister/sig}}
::No, like [http://zeldawiki.org/index.php?title=Link&curid=16362&diff=204315&oldid=204305 here] and how the deleted words are crossed out. <span style="background:Black">[[User:Jo The Marten4982@legacy41961232|<font color="red">'''Jo the Marten'''</font>]]</span><sup>([[User talk:Jo_The_Marten|<font color="red">'''Shriek'''</font>]])</sup> [[Special:Contributions/Jo_The_Marten|<font color="red">ಠ_ಠ</font>]] 01:17, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

:Ummm.... I think that <span class="plainlinks">[http://zeldawiki.org/index.php?title=User:Adamcox82/sig&oldid=95001 this]</span> is a little too distracting. You might want to reconsider it. I'll already had to dull down mine once because it caught too much attention.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">05:49, July 22, 2008 (UTC)</span>
:::Ah, now I see what you mean. That's done using a file called diff.css (ZW's copy is found <span class="plainlinks">[http://www.zeldawiki.org/skins/common/diff.css here]</span>). It's not editable via the wiki's interface (and of course viewing the file in a browser is read-only), so to customise ours I had to manually edit the file on our server. I'm guessing that only Wikia staff will have that level of access, and I'm not sure what their policy on interface customisation is, so you might have a hard time getting them to change it. I guess that's just one of the many benefits that comes with independance... {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 12:37, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

::How about replacing the ? in the beginning with a ¿<br>That looks more like an "A".{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">05:57, July 22, 2008 (UTC)</span>
::::Aye. :/ This is rather unfortunate. I had a member come up to me saying he was color blind and couldn't see the edits. Guess I'll have to bring it up with Wikia then. Thanks for your help! <span style="background:Black">[[User:Jo The Marten4982@legacy41961232|<font color="red">'''Jo the Marten'''</font>]]</span>([[User talk:Jo_The_Marten|<font color="red">'''Shriek'''</font>]]) [[Special:Contributions/Jo_The_Marten|<font color="red">ಠ_ಠ</font>]] 22:07, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

::Weird, again I have this feeling that you're watching me... Anyway, I took the colours off it. The change I made by adjusting the letters didn't contravene any of the [[:Category:User Signatures|rules]], so I think we need to be careful to avoid adding too much personal judgement; if a signature contains only the basic elements, and a not-excessive amount of colour (and adheres to the other explicitly stated rules), it should be allowed. {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 06:03, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
== Talk Page ==

:::I'm just unable to sleep at this time. You might be able to put some color (a.k.a colour) back. I am not even certain what is acceptable, so you might want to check with Ando and see what he thinks. He was supposed to be coming back here really soon. At least, that is what he said. He was going to modify page histories to remove embarrassing vandalism from the history pages. He said that doing it now would be better than during the day, on US time that is. It is 1:00 AM here. It is 6:00 AM over there right? I don't actually know when you've got to leave to go to your job.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">06:06, July 22, 2008 (UTC)</span>
In my experience, talk pages belong to the users, not the administrators. In past, they have been allowed to remove garbage they don't want on their pages, just as Mandi has in the past as well. She edits and locks her page simply so she doesn't have to converse with certain people, and I'm sure there's been others. My talk page is my talk page, and I have every right to de-garbage it if I wish. And by the way, your "final warning" means nothing to me until you issue the same ruling to Nerushi. You all wanted to block me alongside that clown AuronKaizer before simply for defending all of you from him (which I was stabbed in the back for), yet you just want to slap Nerushi on the wrist and show bias toward me. So until your rulings become impartial and equivalent, your "final warning" isn't worth the energy you took to type it to me. [[User:Christopher-gpuser|Link87]] 20:14, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
:Nice one by the way, you lock MY page when I didn't even remove your pointless comments. Tut Tut. I demand that it be unlocked now however, thank you very much. If not, I shall be writing to Jason about this overstepping of bounds and abuse of power. [[User:Christopher-gpuser|Link87]] 20:17, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

::::I have to leave in like 10 minutes so I'll be brief. And please don't poke fun at my language, it's been around a lot longer than yours ;) (joking) I was bored of those colours anyway, so I might recolour it at some point. One interesting thing that you've hit on is the display of the characters themselves. This is what you should see: [[image:mysig_adamcox82.jpg]]
== Forgot to say "thanks" ==
::::This would indicate that you don't have the required language support on your machine to render all characters shown in the new editing character-box. Maybe you wanna do a screenshot of what you see, so it can be compared to the functional version? {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 06:17, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Well then, that is that. I think I can get this a little bit fixed. But is there another way to update the language support besides going through Windows Update? Because the best that Microsoft has released for XP is does not cover all of what is available. Those of you with Vista can see a lot more than I can. The Unicode website rather conveniently neglects to mention how to actually update your Unicode support. I do not have SP2 installed. That is because of an error cause by another program. I will uninstall said program and see if that works.  You're probably gone now. But I can wait.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">06:28, July 22, 2008 (UTC)</span>
I saw the addition of the skipcaptcha to the patrol and autopatrol groups. I much appreciate that, because it was getting really annoying :P{{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 19:32, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

== Editing my user page ==

::Sorry, seems I've slightly misled you in what I said above. From what I've read, it would seem that the issue lies with a lack of proper unicode support within Firefox itself. I expect that if you were to view this page with IE, you'd see the characters in my signature rendered correctly. Apparently the issue is resolved in Firefox 3; let me know if you need any more help and I'll see what I can dig up :) {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 17:38, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
I know that I had used userbox templates that didn't exist. I was planning on creating them sometime when I'm feeling a little less lazy, lol. I just wanted to put them there so I would remember to make them, and I'd only have to click on the links to start editing them. You didn't have to delete them from my page. ==Unicode Support==
:Hi there. It wasn't done with malicious intent, just part of an ongoing process of cleaning up links to stuff that doesn't exist. You see, [[Special:WantedPages|this list]] was once over 1000 pages long, and once it gets to zero, we're done and the wiki is finished and we can all go home and drink beer XD
Since you asked, I'll tell you. There are some characters in the edit toolbox that do not show up on my PC. I'm assuming that if I click on them, they will still be added correctly and you'll be able to see them. But just in case, I'll add their locations.

That is everything. I have had no luck installing SP2. It keeps on saying that I have a debug version of windows and not the retail. That, of course, is flat-out wrong. I bought it at Best Buy years ago. I really hope I don't have to re-install it. That is too much work. I know how of course. == Issue ==
== Regarding the C-nintendo Template ==
Here I am, adding my newly uploaded image to my page, and I get "Cannot make thumbnail. Something wrong with destination path." or something to that effect. Uh, wut? Can you please explain? s

:No idea, something happened 'cause I was editing a page, tried to save it 20 times and got ''"Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data"'' every time. Had to clear my cache and saved session data, uncheck "Show preview on first edit" in my Editing Preferences, log out and back in before it cleared! Could be server issues, but more likely Jason or someone else making some changes. Keep an eye on it and let me know if you see any other issues, ok? {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 21:13, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
You discontinued the use of Template: C-nintendo last August, but did not recommend its removal from the image pages. Is there is a technical reason for this or were you planning on doing something with it? Regardless, I plan on fixing the summaries and descriptions of many images and this little template pops up often. Can I omit it? {{:User:Abdullah5599@legacy41961806/sig}} 03:40, 26 August 2010 (EDT)

::Yeah, I've been having issues, too. I'm trying to make a new template and Firefox gives me that "the server connection was reset" thing over and over and I can't do anything about it. Let's see if it works this time! {{:User:Ando/sig}} 21:16, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
:I was never aware of any future reasons he might have for it. To me it seems like he only said that so he could eventually figure out how to get his bot to remove all of them.{{:User:Emma/sig|~}} 17:22, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

:::Thank goodness. I thought I was going crazy or something. So it wasn't just me. Could this be related to hack at ZU? I thought all the major repairs over there were already done? Well, I don't know for sure.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">21:23, July 27, 2008 (UTC)</span>
::Yeah, pretty much that. To quote myself:

::::'''UPDATE: Jason be having problems with the server.''' {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 21:50, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
{{quote|It is still present on a number of images, but will display nothing. While it may be removed from images, doing so is not recommended unless there is another actual need to edit the image in question.|Adam; 08:33, 22 August 2009}}
::What I meant by that was that it can and should be removed, but because it has no visible effect, doing so is not a valuable or productive thing to do in itself. Although if you happen to be editing an image page for another reason and see one, feel free to remove it. However, when I check [[Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:C-nintendo|here]], it seems that it's now transcluded onto only three images. So I'll clean up the remaining usage and delete it ;) {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 13:31, 26 August 2010 (EDT)

::::Error creating thumbnail: Unable to create destination directory <-- The error. {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 22:23, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
:::No, it's not translcluded in many pages, but it appears very often in older comments, which is what I'm going to try to work with soon. Thank you for clearing things up. ^_^ {{:User:Abdullah5599@legacy41961806/sig}} 14:01, 26 August 2010 (EDT)

== A Little Help ==
== Another thing we need to do ==

Since it was your idea, could you help with implementing the plan for the trivia section of [[Happy Mask Salesman]]. The plan you proposed [[Talk:Happy Mask Salesman#Facts|here]]. The images are too dark on my end, and my brightness is calibrated to be in real-world colors (<small>What? it is faster to type "color" than "colour"!.:P</small>) So I might go and brighten them up a little. But I'm not exactly sure on where to go with the trivia section.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">16:20, August 23, 2008 (UTC)</span>
Hey, Adam. I found out why the throttle for the edit filter was failing, and it requires us to install [http://memcached.org memcached]. We keep missing each other, so I figured I'd just leave a talk page message. Also, I tried to install it on Lylat Wiki but it caused all sorts of problems. I submitted a ticket and they replied with "Sorry, but you can't install memcached on shared hosting." I had someone ask Jason for me, and it turns out that ZW is not on shared hosting, thankfully. So if you want to try to get to it without me, feel free. I can't really be of much help, anyway, since I can't install it. But yeah, install that and the filter should be good to go. You'll also have to run it from the command line. [http://mediawiki.org/wiki/Memcached This] can be of service, I think. Well, good luck!{{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 12:24, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
:Oh, one thing I found out is that there's no security for memcached. I'd say to follow their precautions and make the ports it uses not publicly available, and to make sure that the server is firewalled. I'd love to get the throttle going, but not if it puts the site at risk, y'know?{{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 14:14, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
::Hmmm, well I tried running a small (64MB) instance of memcached on an unused firewalled port. I could see it being used by the wiki, but it caused session errors with login and editing ("''Login error. There seems to be a problem with your login session; this action has been canceled as a precaution against session hijacking. Go back to the previous page, reload that page and then try again.''", "''Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still does not work, try logging out and logging back in.''"). I'll have to try again later, tweaking some settings (perhaps it's due to setting $wgSessionsInMemcached). Also, where did you come across the suggestion that memcached was required for this to work? {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 17:12, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
:::It was in the Mediawiki IRC room (#mediawiki). I asked if throttle was SUPPOSED to be broken, and the reply was that you needed memcached to have it work. Those guys know their stuff, and I've gotten some good help from them before. It's actually a really great way to get help, so if you have an IRC client, add #mediawiki to your list of channels. The host is irc.freenode.net. Anyways, I'll ask about that problem and see if I can get answers.{{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 21:03, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
:::By the way, try setting $wgSessionsInMemcached to false. That may help. It says it's optional, anyway.{{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 21:51, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
::::OK, I've set $wgSessionsInMemcached to false, and it seemed OK (but quite slow). I'll tinker about with memory allocation and see how it goes. {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 07:24, 7 September 2010 (EDT)
Sounds good. Let me know if you get it working.{{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 09:06, 7 September 2010 (EDT)<br/>
By the way, I just tested it out on my WAMP wiki and it worked. So yeah, this is definitely a requirement for the filter throttle.{{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 13:30, 7 September 2010 (EDT)
:OK, I allocated 256 MB to memcached and it seems to be running fine for now; don't want to go much higher than that, or it might eat up all the free physical memory and start using the swapfile, which would probably make things run much slower. Time to wait and see if the filter kicks in (and keep an eye out for any performance issues). {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 13:45, 7 September 2010 (EDT)
::Mmkay. Do you want to do some testing on the throttle, though? I encountered an error in the source of mine (nothing major, just an "undefined variable" error that was annoying.) Might be a good idea to test it out and then fix it if necessary (since all the fix takes is just muting errors on that variable with @.){{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 13:49, 7 September 2010 (EDT)

:Seriously, they're too dark? On my monitor their brightness is way too high, so much so that I'm surprised at myself for not fixing it before I uploaded them. I think your need to consider adjusting your monitor if possible. Anyway, I added the section (thanks for reminding me), and I also flagged the entire article for improvement. In my opinion, the layout is quite poor ("intro" section is far too long and needs to be subdivided by game, and the current section headers and ordering are confusing and unprofessional). Anyway, I have most of this week's edits to patrol at some point, so I'll leave it to others to tinker with for the time being. {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 17:41, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

== Feature Image Nomination Question ==
Hi

The Phantom Hourglass Scene. What about [http://www.gamehiker.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=232&pos=8 this]? I like that one better. We could crop it to look like option A.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">20:34, August 24, 2008 (UTC)</span>
I was wondering if Zelda Wiki would like to sponsor my up coming lp on Ocarina of Time. This will be an 100% lp so please consider this.

:Hold on, I can get a version of Option A without the logos! I'll work on it.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">20:42, August 24, 2008 (UTC)</span>

Can you give it the faded borders? it looked cool like that. {{:User:MARKOL/sig}}

Maybe. A larger version of the Gamehiker one can be found [http://www.meristation.com/EPORTAL_IMGS/GENERAL/juegos/NintendoDS-Aventura/bd/IMG2-cw471277832aa3c/NDS_ZeldaPH_Art03.jpg here].{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">20:48, August 24, 2008 (UTC)</span>

== Animal Crossing Wiki question ==

[[Image:PH Scene A.jpg|frameless|right]]
Hello. I am one of the people in charge of the Animal Crossing Wiki that you contacted about joining the NIWA. I just had one question for you. If we move, is it possible to have a different domain name than animalcrossingwiki.me? I would prefer animalcrossingwiki.org and I even checked. I do not believe it is in use. Thanks, SuperAlpaca.
:I wasn't able to get a satisfactory shadow effect. But I did get a equivalent version made without the logos. I'll leave the decision of whether or not to replace the currently nominated image with this one up to you, Adam.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">06:37, August 25, 2008 (UTC)</span>

::Hmm, not sure. One of the reasons I liked the one I selected was that it is hi-res, whereas this one seems like it's just been stretched to make it larger. In full view I can see too much distortion etc. What would be really nice would be if MARKOL would be so kind as to create a transparent-background png render of the white bg image you suggested. That would be a nice replacement for option B (I wouldn't wanna substitute out option A as some people have already voted for that image, and I find the logos to be quite inobtrusive). {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 08:20, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
:Well, you guys would need to discuss that with Jake, since he's your webmaster and owner of the current domain name. But yes, assuming that you all agree to change the domain name and someone is willing to purchase the new one, it's a relatively simple thing to change. {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 17:44, 31 October 2010 (EDT)

I actually may be able to remove the logos from option A, but we'll see, I'll try it out. {{:User:MARKOL/sig}}
== Improving the File List ==

:I have a better idea. The only real issue in my version is the shield. It looks fuzzy, the rest is fine. The background on mine is good. So we can cut out the subjects on the current version and use the background from my version. It is that simple.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">20:21, August 26, 2008 (UTC)</span>
I previously suggested adding a column of thumbnails to [[Special:ListFiles]] to make it easier to browse and find files. I'm pretty sure [[User:Justin|Justin]] said he'd work on it, but I eventually made some suitable code. I showed it to Justin and he redirected me here. My modifications are as follows:<br/>
Edit SpecialListfiles.php and add:
<pre>'img_width' => wfMsg( 'listfiles_name' ),</pre>
before:
<pre>'img_user_text' => wfMsg( 'listfiles_user' ),</pre>

How did you get that background? {{:User:MARKOL/sig}}
On the same page, add:
<pre>case 'img_width':
$name = $this->mCurrentRow->img_name;
$img = wfFindFile( $name );
$thumb = $img->transform( array( 'width' => 120, 'height' => 120 ) );
return "<center>" . $thumb->toHtml( array( 'desc-link' => true ) ) . "</center>";
</pre>
before:
<pre>case 'img_user_text':</pre>
There are two known issues, namely:
* The column is called "Name". I couldn't create a wfMsg for files. (There may be one I am unaware of, but I'm not an extension writer XD)
* The images are in the "img_width" column for a reason similar to the one above. This may cause a minor problem if we ever want to display a file widths.

:It is the PAL version box art. I found a 2091×2244 pixel image of it. There, I found the link. [http://www.pelimies.fi/images/graf/main/0103128.jpg Here] it is.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">23:31, August 26, 2008 (UTC)</span>

How's this look? {{:User:MARKOL/sig}} [[Image:PH Scene 1-2.png|frameless|left]]
:That looks like a really useful idea; good work! However I feel there might be a better way to implement it. After all, if I just edit SpecialListfiles.php, next time we update to the new version of MediaWiki it'll just get set back to default. Also, people may still want the old version of the file list (as it'll load much faster without images on it). With that in mind, I think we should aim to package this as an extension which adds a new special page (i.e. just the existing Special:ListFiles with your modifications included). I'll look into the best way to do that (either via Justin, or following <span class="plainlinks">[http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Special_pages#Basic_special_page_template this]</span>) {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 01:43, 2 December 2010 (EST)

Alright! Two extensions, ready for use! The '''[http://www.mediafire.com/?poze7p7eq7rrjrw File List]''' is now on its own page, but is still a little screwy with the title. Other than that, it's fully functional. The '''[http://www.mediafire.com/?g6979sy029qrm3n Upload extension]''' overrides the default upload page, but there's a checkbox that let's you use the old page. I have a few notes about it inside the file. I really can't explain it properly, but if you test it, I'm sure you'd like it. {{:User:Abdullah5599@legacy41961806/sig}} 06:24, 20 January 2011 (EST)

== Item navigation template ==

==Question==
I already talked about this to Hylian King, who suggested me to contact Minion, but because he's offline for now, I though you could then lend me a hand here. You see, I'm interested on creating navigation templates regarding the items in the games, but I would like them to be customized according to each game (for example, the template about the TWW items would mimic the game's item subscreen. You could easily go to a item article by clicking on said item in the menu; another example would be a TP template looking like that circular menu with the items shown). Though I could simply create traditional navigation templates for each game, they would look redundant since most of the items in the series are recurring. Could you then make these customized templates, in case you know how? Thanks in advance! =) --{{:User:K2L3798@legacy41960118/sig}} 17:15, 22 December 2010 (EST)
I realize that as a sysop you had right to delete that image I uploaded. I'm not sure what you mean when you said "I don't see how politics has any place here". There's plenty of non-zelda, non-nintendo even non-video game stuff on people's userpages so politics should fit right in. Anyway, I'd like to know what you meant when you said " we're certainly not hosting images of this kind". What do you mean by "this kind", it certainly wasn't vulgar. And I'm sure you didn't mean to (so please don't take any offense) but when you said that "we're certainly not hosting images of this kind" it made it seem that I had uploaded something vulgar. Is there anyway you can change that so that someone looking through my history won't think I uploaded something bad. I don't want people think I'm that kind of person. Thank you very much :).--[[User:Link hero of light|Link hero of light]] 00:10, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

:Well, we don't want Zelda Wiki.org to be host to political debates. If we show things like members supporting one candidate, then that would open up debate. It just is not worth it and is a waste of space. We'd like to keep such things away from this site.{{:User:Matt/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">01:49, September 30, 2008 (UTC)</span>
:I think the easiest and most practical way to do this would be to base it on an image with an imagemap overlaid. That should work better than trying to reconstruct the layout in wikicode, and will appear as an exact duplicate of the game's menu. As you can see from [[User:Adam660@legacy41957735#Navmaps|these]], it's possible to make any area(s) of an image clickable and link to whichever pages are needed. If you can find a screenshot of an in-game inventory to use as one of the base images (highest resolution possible), I can ask one of our experts on image-mapping to work on it. {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 17:29, 22 December 2010 (EST)
::Mmmm, I was looking for item subscreen images in the [[Inventory]] article, but only the ST menu image is shown. In fact, seems like the problem is bigger than imagined, since almost each game has both a subscreen for the tools and weapons, and one for the Quest items. I'll have to go to the Image Requests page and see if someone can upload the proper images. =P --{{:User:K2L3798@legacy41960118/sig}} 17:42, 22 December 2010 (EST)

Anyone who would be looking through your userpage history long enough to form an opinion on my comment there would surely also take the time to see what change was made in that revision. There they would clearly see the title of the image and the caption below it which I removed, and thereby would know the subject it related to. The reason I wasn't more explicit in my description was in order to carefully avoid showing any opinion one way or another on the matter, which I'm also trying to do now, which demonstrates exactly why the content had to be removed in the first place. I hope you understand that I didn't do this because as a sysop it's my ''right'' to do what I want (which it certainly isn't), but because it's my ''duty'' to do what's best for the community as a whole. {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 08:02, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

:Well, no offense Adam, but you didn't really explain at all. Basically all you said is that you have a duty. But you did not say what that duty was. It was just over-dramatized paragraph about nothing. Sorry, but it is true. Care to elaborate? Please spare us the drama and get to the point. Yeah, a little blunt, but that is just me. Telling people to look somewhere else for an answer isn't exactly the best course of action. Just tell him the exact reason. I hate to do this but, yeah... well, it's in my personality and it's hard-wired into my brain. I can't help it. Wow, Matt. I figured you of all people would get it. :/ Don't you think that the last thing we need is some other member popping up saying "hahaha u support that person whats wrong with u" and then a massive political debate happens? Political debates are for elsewhere, not to mention that they're very good at tearing apart communities. Hence, very sensitive opinions are probably better off not shared here. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 13:36, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Greetings,
--[[User:Lux|Lux]] 13:41, 4 July 2011 (EDT)

Hi there. As someone who is skilled with the technical side of MediaWiki, I would like to know if you could please install the CheckUser extension - http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/CheckUser - and promote me to sysop/checkuser* here. That way, if people want to know the IP address of a user for a legitimate
reason (e.g. spamming, flaming, trolling etc.) then they can, maybe at a page such as Project:CheckUser requests etc. and I could give them the results.

*CheckUser status can be given on its own, but is not worth it without sysop status since you cannot block the users directly.
:Wow, I really need to update my to-do list! Thanks for the reminder, we actually already replicated that template [[Template:TWWIslandNav|here]]; it's a shame you guys decided not to use those any more, I think they're really user-friendly! {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 12:51, 6 July 2011 (EDT)

It's a lot easier than checking the recentchanges table via the database manually, as they used to do on Wikipedia and other major wikis. Hope this helps. AC. --[[User:Sunstar NW XP|Sunstar NW XP]] 18:14, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
== Reaper? ==

:''(I'm not Adam, but I am a sysop so I figure I should be good to answer this, ja?)''
This is a pretty ooold page now, and it doesn't seem to have changed much since you created it, but we were having a discussion on the Talk page of [[Reaper]] to try to determine whether the name is official or fan-made. Since you made the page, albeit ages ago now, I was wondering if you could remember where you heard the name? I haven't been able to find it anywhere, personally. Thanks if you can help! [[User:Fizzle|Fizzle]] 07:21, 30 September 2011 (EDT)
:We've already discussed installing this extension in the staff area, and the basic conclusion we came to was that the process was more involved than we cared to get into. In the past three years, I only know of one instance in which this would have been useful, and even then it was sufficiently proven that the two people were one and the same. With that in mind, it doesn't really seem worth the more in-depth process, especially considering that only one of our members ''(the [[User:GoldenChaos|founding member]] of the Wiki)'' has access to all the necessary files to accomplish this.
:Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm a little shocked that you honestly think we'd give you CheckUser / sysop status. I mean, you seem like a nice person, but you just joined a couple of hours ago, and without any sort of credentials, even. We don't give those kinds of powers to just anyone - they have to prove themselves over several months.
:Sorry to kind of just tear down your proposal here, but that's just how it is. :/ {{:User:Ando/sig}} 18:34, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

You've worried poor Matt so badly that he can't bring himself to ask it himself, so he's had me do it in his stead: Are you subtracting EVERY edit you've made in your Wiki history for your patrol count? ::Yeah, I know it's a crude method, but it's just a quick estimate I came up with to avoid any actual counting ;) I suppose I could find out what date Jason sysoped me, and then how many edits I made before that date, then add that figure on to get my true patrol count... but it's not really ''that'' important. Maybe if I get really bored some day - but thanks for your concern guys :) {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 06:52, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
I have been looking for some of the Zelda games that you have, but for some crazy reason, I can't find them. So, here comes my question: Where did you get your games?[[User:Ankazar|Ankazar]] 03:45, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

== Faron ==
:I'm guessing you're talking about the older games? All of the games since Wind Waker were either released on or are playable on current consoles (GameCube games on Wii, GBA on DS or DS Lite). For the earlier games, you want to look for a copy of the [[The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition|Collector's Edition]], since that includes many of them. For [[Master Quest]], you'll find it in [[The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D|OoT 3D]], [[The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past|ALttP]] is on Wii Virtual Console, and you can get [[LADX]] in the e-Shop on the 3DS. Think that covers everything I have, though if you wanted them in their original formats like some of mine are then you'll need to shell out on eBay for some <span class="plainlinks">[http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Consoles-/139971/i.html?_pppn=r1&_dmpt=UK_VideoGames_VideoGameConsoles_VideoGameConsoles&Platform=Nintendo%2520Game%2520Boy|Nintendo%2520Game%2520Boy%2520Color|Nintendo%2520NES|Nintendo%2520SNES classic consoles]</span> ;) {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 19:40, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

:Hey, sorry I'm so inactive these days! It's not that I lost interest in ZW, just that I've got so much other stuff going on that this place kinda got pushed further and further down the list! I barely spend any time managing the wiki I pay to host (WiKirby)... guilt setting in :/ Also I've got really into [[wikipedia:Star Wars: The Old Republic|SWTOR]] lately, so that's eaten up even more of my time! On top of that, I'm just this weekend about to leave for a 2 week holiday in Orlando, FL so I'll have to catch up with you at some point when I get back... </excuses>  {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 20:19, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
::Hehe. Well maybe I'll run into you if I happen to be in Orlando for some reason (I won't, but hey, you're going to be in my state :P). You should consider visiting Tampa Bay at some point. It's a nice area and it's like the major port in Florida. ::No other changes I can think of at the moment (it's probably best to add to them when next coming across a reason which doesn't appear in the existing list). Also, good job on the MediaWiki pages, I've felt for a long time that there was too much missing or under-utilised. Also, welcome to the staff team (formally) at last. And don't take my past (or future) criticism to heart; we may rarely agree, but to be honest, that's probably better for the wiki! {{:User:Adamcox82/sig}} 20:50, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Hey. What's going on with WiKirby? Is it... you know... caput? The RSS feed has been out of commission for awhile, now, and I was wondering if WiKirby is coming back. Either way, I'm still looking into setting up the RSS on ZW itself, which, in hindsight, is probably what we should've done in the first place.

:::Thanks!
But anyways... Nice to see you around. If you can, please hop on Skype. I need to talk to you about some issues keeping us from upgrading.{{:User:Justin ZW/sig}} 11:00, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Adam (of Zelda Wiki), it is requested that you give server access and hosting to Vellidragon (of Wikirby) or someone else who can take care of the wiki. You haven't been in touch in Wikirby for a particularly long time (and ZeldaWiki as well recently) since Axiomist has been deceased. Due to this, Wikirby is currently suffering it's downtimes, with no one helping to alleviate it. Vellidragon is the only staff member who is looking over Wikirby, and yet doesn't have server access. I've been talking with her over Skype and I'm disappointed that you didn't assist the wiki and Vellidragon in the worst of times. Even with various members attempting to contact you over this, nothing happened besides a lack of response from you. I'm also appalled that you didn't give server access and hosting to Vellidragon or Tacopill after promising to do so during chat in the past. Hearing that you weren't accessible around one or two years, as a consequence, this puts under an extreme burden of the lack of assistance that no other wiki should have under any circumstances. Please log in your Skype account and discuss about this in the staff chat. --[[User:RAP|RAP]] 02:04, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

WiKirby

Seeing how Axi is away for awhile, I'll have to direct this to you. It seems that Austin's encountering the same problem that Brent had with WiKirby: It refuses to allow him connect. I believe it's the same thing where it can't process his request as before, so I would suggest raising another support ticket with bluehost about it. Talk to Austin for more specific details about the problem, though. Hopefully, this won't become a recurring thing :/User:Justin ZW/sig 20:04, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Question about Monaco.css

Hey, I was wondering if you'd be able to tell me how to edit the Monaco.css so that when someone edits a page, it makes a <s> like how it's done here. Is this something I'd be able to do or is that something Wikia is in control of? Jo the Marten(Shriek) ಠ_ಠ 16:14, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Um, I'm not quite sure I understand what you're asking about; did you mean the "Currently editing" bar that shows up when you edit a page? Adam [ talk ] 08:20, 5 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No, like here and how the deleted words are crossed out. Jo the Marten(Shriek) ಠ_ಠ 01:17, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, now I see what you mean. That's done using a file called diff.css (ZW's copy is found here). Adam [ talk ] 12:37, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Aye. :/ This is rather unfortunate. I had a member come up to me saying he was color blind and couldn't see the edits. Guess I'll have to bring it up with Wikia then. Thanks for your help! Jo the Marten(Shriek) ಠ_ಠ 22:07, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Talk Page

Link87 20:14, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Nice one by the way, you lock MY page when I didn't even remove your pointless comments. Tut Tut. I demand that it be unlocked now however, thank you very much. If not, I shall be writing to Jason about this overstepping of bounds and abuse of power. Link87 20:17, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Editing my user page

I know that I had used userbox templates that didn't exist. I was planning on creating them sometime when I'm feeling a little less lazy, lol. I just wanted to put them there so I would remember to make them, and I'd only have to click on the links to start editing them. You didn't have to delete them from my page. Tyeforce 08:51, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi there. It wasn't done with malicious intent, just part of an ongoing process of cleaning up links to stuff that doesn't exist. You see, this list was once over 1000 pages long, and once it gets to zero, we're done and the wiki is finished and we can all go home and drink beer XD
Remember kids; every time you create a red link, a fairy dies :,( Adam [ talk ] 18:40, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh, I didn't know that, sorry. Well, I'll make them exist so there's no problem then, lol. Tyeforce 02:46, 29 June 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I hope you're online. O_O

Pleeeease, Can you delete my account? I wanted to improve some minor things, but now I don't like that everyone can put anything they want. And try to end the games you start.--Taligo 11:24, 29 July 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm not quite sure what you're asking here, or what you mean by "putting anything they want" or "ending games"? Maybe you should take a look at this which details the options about deactivating accounts; but remember, the easiest way is to simply not log into your account any more! Regarding the C-nintendo Template

You discontinued the use of Template: C-nintendo last August, but did not recommend its removal from the image pages. Is there is a technical reason for this or were you planning on doing something with it? Regardless, I plan on fixing the summaries and descriptions of many images and this little template pops up often. Can I omit it? — Abdul [T] [C] [S]  03:40, 26 August 2010 (EDT)

I was never aware of any future reasons he might have for it. To me it seems like he only said that so he could eventually figure out how to get his bot to remove all of them.Emma (Talk) 17:22, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, pretty much that. To quote myself:
It is still present on a number of images, but will display nothing. While it may be removed from images, doing so is not recommended unless there is another actual need to edit the image in question.
— Adam; 08:33, 22 August 2009
What I meant by that was that it can and should be removed, but because it has no visible effect, doing so is not a valuable or productive thing to do in itself. Although if you happen to be editing an image page for another reason and see one, feel free to remove it. However, when I check here, it seems that it's now transcluded onto only three images. So I'll clean up the remaining usage and delete it ;) Adam [ talk ] 13:31, 26 August 2010 (EDT)
No, it's not translcluded in many pages, but it appears very often in older comments, which is what I'm going to try to work with soon. Thank you for clearing things up. ^_^ — Abdul [T] [C] [S]  14:01, 26 August 2010 (EDT)

Another thing we need to do

Hey, Adam. I found out why the throttle for the edit filter was failing, and it requires us to install memcached. This can be of service, I think. Well, good luck!User:Justin ZW/sig 12:24, 6 September 2010 (EDT)

Oh, one thing I found out is that there's no security for memcached. I'd say to follow their precautions and make the ports it uses not publicly available, and to make sure that the server is firewalled. I'd love to get the throttle going, but not if it puts the site at risk, y'know?User:Justin ZW/sig 14:14, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
Hmmm, well I tried running a small (64MB) instance of memcached on an unused firewalled port. I could see it being used by the wiki, but it caused session errors with login and editing ("Login error. There seems to be a problem with your login session; this action has been canceled as a precaution against session hijacking. Go back to the previous page, reload that page and then try again.", "Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still does not work, try logging out and logging back in."). I'll have to try again later, tweaking some settings (perhaps it's due to setting $wgSessionsInMemcached). Also, where did you come across the suggestion that memcached was required for this to work? Adam [ talk ] 17:12, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
It was in the Mediawiki IRC room (#mediawiki). Anyways, I'll ask about that problem and see if I can get answers.User:Justin ZW/sig 21:03, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
By the way, try setting $wgSessionsInMemcached to false. That may help. It says it's optional, anyway.User:Justin ZW/sig 21:51, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
OK, I've set $wgSessionsInMemcached to false, and it seemed OK (but quite slow). I'll tinker about with memory allocation and see how it goes. Adam [ talk ] 07:24, 7 September 2010 (EDT)

Sounds good. Let me know if you get it working.User:Justin ZW/sig 09:06, 7 September 2010 (EDT)
By the way, I just tested it out on my WAMP wiki and it worked. So yeah, this is definitely a requirement for the filter throttle.User:Justin ZW/sig 13:30, 7 September 2010 (EDT)

OK, I allocated 256 MB to memcached and it seems to be running fine for now; don't want to go much higher than that, or it might eat up all the free physical memory and start using the swapfile, which would probably make things run much slower. Time to wait and see if the filter kicks in (and keep an eye out for any performance issues). Adam [ talk ] 13:45, 7 September 2010 (EDT)
Mmkay. Do you want to do some testing on the throttle, though? I encountered an error in the source of mine (nothing major, just an "undefined variable" error that was annoying.) Might be a good idea to test it out and then fix it if necessary (since all the fix takes is just muting errors on that variable with @.)User:Justin ZW/sig 13:49, 7 September 2010 (EDT)

Becoming an Affiliate

Hi

I was wondering if Zelda Wiki would like to sponsor my up coming lp on Ocarina of Time. This will be an 100% lp so please consider this.

You can find my youtube here: [www.youtube.com/TheGameAlchemist]

Thx TGA (TheGameAlchemist)

Hi there. We discussed your request amongst the staff, but unfortunately it was decided that this isn't something we'd be able to promote; sorry to disappoint. I wish you all the best with it. Adam [ talk ] 01:25, 3 November 2010 (EDT)

Animal Crossing Wiki question

Well, you guys would need to discuss that with Jake, since he's your webmaster and owner of the current domain name. But yes, assuming that you all agree to change the domain name and someone is willing to purchase the new one, it's a relatively simple thing to change. Adam [ talk ] 17:44, 31 October 2010 (EDT)

Improving the File List

I previously suggested adding a column of thumbnails to Special:ListFiles to make it easier to browse and find files. I'm pretty sure Justin said he'd work on it, but I eventually made some suitable code. I showed it to Justin and he redirected me here. My modifications are as follows:
Edit SpecialListfiles.php and add:

'img_width' => wfMsg( 'listfiles_name' ),

before:

'img_user_text' => wfMsg( 'listfiles_user' ),

On the same page, add:

case 'img_width':
	$name = $this->mCurrentRow->img_name;
	$img = wfFindFile( $name );
	$thumb = $img->transform( array( 'width' => 120, 'height' => 120 ) );
	return "<center>" . $thumb->toHtml( array( 'desc-link' => true ) ) . "</center>";

before:

case 'img_user_text':

There are two known issues, namely:

  • The column is called "Name". I couldn't create a wfMsg for files. (There may be one I am unaware of, but I'm not an extension writer XD)
  • The images are in the "img_width" column for a reason similar to the one above. This may cause a minor problem if we ever want to display a file widths.

I have tested it on MediaWiki 1.16.0 on my localhost server and had Justin look over it. Feel free to perform further testing if you feel it is necessary, and don't forget to backup files before replacing them. Thank you for taking the time to read this — Abdul [T] [C] [S]  23:15, 1 December 2010 (EST)

That looks like a really useful idea; good work! I'll look into the best way to do that (either via Justin, or following this) Adam [ talk ] 01:43, 2 December 2010 (EST)
I'll put it together for you. Shouldn't be too hard. And yeah, good job, Minion. I did say I'd work on it, but I got submerged with other stuff and forgot all about it :PUser:Justin ZW/sig 02:08, 2 December 2010 (EST)
Hmmm, I didn't think about that first one. This is going to make adding a "Source" field and/or "Game" dropdown menu for the upload page more difficult. And it's easy to forget about people with slow connections when you're running the server on your own computer. :P But yeah, a Special Page extension sounds like a great idea. — Abdul [T] [C] [S]  03:47, 2 December 2010 (EST)

Alright! Two extensions, ready for use! The File List is now on its own page, but is still a little screwy with the title. Other than that, it's fully functional. The Upload extension overrides the default upload page, but there's a checkbox that let's you use the old page. I have a few notes about it inside the file. I really can't explain it properly, but if you test it, I'm sure you'd like it. — Abdul [T] [C] [S]  06:24, 20 January 2011 (EST)

Wow, excellent work! I installed them both and all seems good. Shame about the missing title on Special:ListFilesWithImages; I had a bit of a poke about, but couldn't figure out how to make it appear either. Also, you'd forgotten to put any extension credits on it, so I added those ;) (I assumed Justin helped out at some point, let me know if that's not the case). Anyway, thanks again, now I'm off to announce the new features on the Main Page :) Adam [ talk ] 15:25, 20 January 2011 (EST)

Item navigation template

=) --K2L (Interrogatory) 17:15, 22 December 2010 (EST)

I think the easiest and most practical way to do this would be to base it on an image with an imagemap overlaid. That should work better than trying to reconstruct the layout in wikicode, and will appear as an exact duplicate of the game's menu. As you can see from these, it's possible to make any area(s) of an image clickable and link to whichever pages are needed. If you can find a screenshot of an in-game inventory to use as one of the base images (highest resolution possible), I can ask one of our experts on image-mapping to work on it. Adam [ talk ] 17:29, 22 December 2010 (EST)
Mmmm, I was looking for item subscreen images in the Inventory article, but only the ST menu image is shown. In fact, seems like the problem is bigger than imagined, since almost each game has both a subscreen for the tools and weapons, and one for the Quest items. I'll have to go to the Image Requests page and see if someone can upload the proper images. =P --K2L (Interrogatory) 17:42, 22 December 2010 (EST)

Reaper?

This is a pretty ooold page now, and it doesn't seem to have changed much since you created it, but we were having a discussion on the Talk page of Reaper to try to determine whether the name is official or fan-made. Since you made the page, albeit ages ago now, I was wondering if you could remember where you heard the name? I haven't been able to find it anywhere, personally. Thanks if you can help! HELLO, MAH BOI

Long time no see, my British friend. I don't believe we've spoken since I returned triumphantly a few weeks ago. How's life?User:Justin ZW/sig 06:34, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi, good to see you back! It has been a long time hasn't it? I've been shamefully inactive as well, though from what I can tell we were down to just one or two active admins at one point; even SW died, it's been almost 6 months since anyone last posted! I actually rebuilt my Wii just to play SS (can't believe that was a year ago already!) but this year's been really busy (all the usual excuses, work, family etc). Anyway, glad to see you back, and I hope you stick around :) Adam [ talk ] 06:54, 7 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hehe. Figured SW was dead, given the somewhat... "broken" feel of the community. No skin off my nose anyway! Why did you have to rebuild your Wii to play SS, though? I don't understand that.
As far as activity, I know it's hard to be active when you're older and have responsibilities. I'm trying to balance a lot, but I ended up getting sucked right back into editing here after a short time, haha. I do plan on sticking around, though. Missed this place too much. (And plus, now there's LESS DRAMA, which is what I always wanted here in the first place!) Hope to be seeing you around the wiki (and who knows, maybe Skype?)!User:Justin ZW/sig 15:44, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm new, but who is SW?Ankazar 03:48, 3 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

SW isn't actually a "who" at all, it's a (now closed) forum. Nothing to worry yourself about! Adam [ talk ] 19:40, 13 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Where did you...

I have been looking for some of the Zelda games that you have, but for some crazy reason, I can't find them. So, here comes my question: Where did you get your games?Ankazar 03:45, 3 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'm guessing you're talking about the older games? All of the games since Wind Waker were either released on or are playable on current consoles (GameCube games on Wii, GBA on DS or DS Lite). For the earlier games, you want to look for a copy of the Collector's Edition, since that includes many of them. For Master Quest, you'll find it in OoT 3D, ALttP is on Wii Virtual Console, and you can get LADX in the e-Shop on the 3DS. Think that covers everything I have, though if you wanted them in their original formats like some of mine are then you'll need to shell out on eBay for some classic consoles ;) Adam [ talk ] 19:40, 13 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I see you there

So Adam. What's the deal? You're so inactive ._.
You should get on Skype at some point. I got stuff I want to discuss with you (like our skin and CSS and stuff like that). I'm trying to set us up for an update but I'm just not having a lot of luck so I wanted to get with you because I figure you must've had something to do with the Vector skinning.User:Justin ZW/sig 19:53, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Hey, sorry I'm so inactive these days! It's not that I lost interest in ZW, just that I've got so much other stuff going on that this place kinda got pushed further and further down the list! I barely spend any time managing the wiki I pay to host (WiKirby)... guilt setting in :/ Also I've got really into SWTOR lately, so that's eaten up even more of my time! On top of that, I'm just this weekend about to leave for a 2 week holiday in Orlando, FL so I'll have to catch up with you at some point when I get back... </excuses> Adam [ talk ] 20:19, 13 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hehe. Well maybe I'll run into you if I happen to be in Orlando for some reason (I won't, but hey, you're going to be in my state :P). You should consider visiting Tampa Bay at some point. It's a nice area and it's like the major port in Florida. Oh, and a word of warning: it's been flip-flopping between cold and hot here, so prepare yourself for some funky weather.User:Justin ZW/sig 20:28, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
Well, can't be as cold as here in Blighty; it's been as low as 30F here this week. Yesterday and today we had snow! Adam [ talk ] 20:41, 13 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Nope, nothing that low. Close, but not quite. Of course, it never snows here. Ever.User:Justin ZW/sig 20:42, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
The mighty Adam is a lowly Brit like me? Glad I'm not alone! Nice to finally say hello, and yes, damn it's cold here. Fizzle (talk) 21:34, 13 March 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]

WiKirby

But anyways... Nice to see you around. If you can, please hop on Skype. I need to talk to you about some issues keeping us from upgrading.User:Justin ZW/sig 11:00, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Wikirby

--RAP 02:04, 28 June 2013 (UTC)Reply[reply]
