We have flaws? Come into the chatroom and say that to my face. --Seablue254 19:12, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

*sigh* Don't feed the troll, Sea. All that does is make things worse. --Ando 19:20, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Gawd. He comes i here, b----ing about how we have flaws, and doesn't do a thing to help. Go ahead, tell me I have flaws, but we all now you're just a whiner until you help. --Seablue254 19:37, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Might just have to block 'im. All we're doing now is trying to put out a fire with gasoline.--Emma 19:43, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If he does anything more then I might. If he were to help, then that'd be one thing. But he's not, so... consider this your first and last warning, sir. --Ando 19:49, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Guys! I'm ASKING to be blocked! I was just trying to tell you not to think yourselves high and mighty until the work you still need is done. Block me if you want! I don't oppose. Just block me, and speak nothing of this on ZeldaWiki.org. XXXXX 20:55, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

And so you know, I'm not helping because I want to make the Wiki I'm on best. Don't say I'm whining, because I'm not. XXXXX 20:57, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

So you're telling us that you're supreme? Either help, or get out now. --Seablue254 20:58, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You're like my little sibling. I said block me, and I said I want my wiki to be best. I never said I was supreme. My wiki still has work to do too. Just block me already. I want to do it, you want to do it, so just do it. XXXXX 21:00, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please sir. why must you come in just to tell us we have flaws? Well go back to little old Zeldapedia, (Which by the way, asked to merge with us, so don't say that we're worse then them) and have fun editing. Or, you can leave, because no matter what we'll ban you. One last thing, please come here. Also, check out Zeldapedia. --Seablue254 21:03, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I have no proof. But I think that this user, XXXXX, was the same XXXXX that's on Zeldapedia. He was just given admin rights over there. Did he just come over here to insult a rival Wiki? Should someone here with an account there go inform their bureaucrats of what we suspect their XXXXX has done? What he did, is something an admin should never do.--Emma 02:01, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Aye, I found this out a while ago. It's funny, really, I just thought about do this very thing today. The problem is, I'm not sure that I should really be a... spokesperson for the Wiki in a matter such as this. I'm not sure how the folks over at Zeldapedia would react to the accusations, and I'm not sure how the bureaucrats here would react to one of us doing that. I'd love to head over there and let the Zeldapedia admins know what's happened, though, in case they don't. --Ando 02:08, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

We don't have to accuse. This page, your talk page, and Seablue's talk page are (is?) proof. We can give them the links and let them decide.--Emma 02:14, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hmm... true... Should I or do you want to or wanna let someone else or what? --Ando 02:29, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I already did. Someone is looking in to it right now.--Emma 03:18, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

After reading the bad things that XXXXX said about us on Zeldapedia, I'm about 99.982% certain that it is the same person. The people over there said that they will investigate this matter and take the appropriate action.--Emma 05:46, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sweet, good job, man. I'm glad that they seem to be reacting positively. I've had no prior experience with these people so I wasn't sure what would happen. :P --Ando 13:43, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Nice job guys. Now i feel like going over their and kicking his ***. Next time, leave me a message on my talk page saying this is happening, cause it involves my talk page. --Seablue254 14:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please don't overreact, Sea. It's exactly that kind of behavior that casts an image of immaturity upon us, and that's something we don't want. --Ando 14:09, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well, i dont wanna have our place treated like a dump, Ando. --Seablue254 15:15, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I wouldn't have bothered to do anything. Pressing the matter further than it needed to be is only more likely to have him come back and troll ZW for kicks when he feels like being spiteful. The whole childish mess that was made here, seemed to be just a 'heat of the moment' kinda thing. So it may not reflect his overall character, I'd just let it go. ;)Axiomist 19:41, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

He's blocked, though, with account creation disabled, thus making it slightly more difficult for him to do so.
Even so, what he did was inexcusable, regardless of whether it was a "heat of the moment" sort of thing or not, especially given that as an administrator of Zeldapedia he essentially represents Zeldapedia, and I highly doubt that they want that sort of connotation. I know that we don't, right? --Ando 19:49, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If it were just anyone we would have just let it go. But this person is an Admin at Zeldapedia. That is the only reason we did anything at all. This kind of behavior from an admin is disgraceful and would be an embarrassment for any site. We were obligated by our moral ethics to inform the staff at Zeldapedia as to what this person has done. This person has the same attitude about ZeldaWiki.org over there at Zeldapedia as he/she did here. So it does reflect his/her overall character. XXXXX made it clear that he/she wants his/her own wiki to do better. There is only one other Zelda-related wiki written in English that is comparable to ours. Just go over there and read what this person says about us. You can right away that it is the same person that did this here.--Emma 19:55, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Honestly, Matt, I tried looking for any mention of ZW.org on Zeldapedia at all, and I couldn't find anything. Any chance we could have a source or two? --Ando 20:01, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The link to it is at the top of almost every page. The renaming the site forum. I did make a friendly wiki-to-wiki suggestion there. It sets up a good image of ZeldaWiki.org being polite about things, in contrast to XXXXX.--Emma 20:10, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The comments XXXXX made there are a little ironic, as a majority of Zeldapedia is a cabon-copy of our original pages here.--Emma 20:11, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I wouldn't say that a majority of their pages are a copy of ours. A couple that I've found have been... disturbingly similar... but that's about it. I've also seen some Wikipedia copying (Link's Crossbow Training, I'm looking at you). But I've also seen a little bit of that here (not as much, no, but our Majora's Mask reception section is a Wikipedia rip; I've been meaning to re-write it). You've also got to remember that some people edit both Wikis. --Ando 20:22, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Also, I found some of XXXXX's comments. Kind of sad, really. He didn't even say why we're number two, just that we are stupid and dumb and nowhere near as awesome. Yay for positivity!Reply[reply]

Well we take pride on our originality. Let's mark the page as a copy and rewrite/reword it over the next few days or so. Editing both wikis or not, copying is still copying. There's no sugar-coating that fact.--Emma 20:33, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
{{copyvio}} --Ando 20:44, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I know that part. I just wasn't exactly sure which page(s) you were talking about.--Emma 21:16, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Guys, just get Zeldapedia in on this and get his powers taken away. He certainly doesn't deserve them. --Seablue254 00:21, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Someone over at Zeldapedia has already been notified. I wouldn't say that he "certainly doesn't deserve" his admin status, but he certainly deserves a punishment of some sort. --Ando 04:53, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thank you. --Seablue254 00:19, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I used to be a member on Zeldapedia, but I switched to this wiki (I'm not too active right now since I'm spending my time on Super Mario Wiki). The reason I switched is because of the great pictures this wiki has, both wikis have small flaws and major flaws in writing, but ZW.org has almost no flaws in the pictures. If Zeldapedia really asked to merge with us, I think we should. They are a great wiki and combined, we would be a supeiror wiki. If they didn't ask, I don't see why we shouldn't ask to merge with them, we could help each other out.--Link hero of light 14:53, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Of course, the con of merging with Zeldapedia would be having listen to XXXXX say "we are still better than you, we are still better than you, we are still better than you, we are still better than you". Other than that, merging would be a good thing.--Link hero of light 15:02, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Jason's reasoning for not merging was basically that if we did so, it'd likely destroy the very essence of the Wiki: the fact that it's truly owned by nobody. Wikia would own it if we merged. Not to mention that vast differences in policies would confuse people switching over and would require a massive re-write of several pages (which, by the way, would have to be manually merged by everyone; our 2,600 with their 1,900 -- that might take a while). Overall it just didn't seem worth the trouble then, doesn't seem worth it now. --Ando 15:04, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
There would be too much dispute over which wiki's article take precedence. "Which ones should we keep, which ones should we merge, etc." Too much work, not worth it. Besides, it will better for the quality of both wikis if we stay apart. Friendly competition is a good motivator.--Emma 15:20, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Good point. A freindly rivalry never hurt anything, as long as people like XXXXX don't get nasty. If zeldapedia was being destroyed by spam-bots like nintendopedia was, I would go and help them out; despite the fact that if we were being destroyed (Not that we would since Adam and ando are always around) XXXXX wouldn't give a rip to help us. She (or he) would probally set up her own bot to help get rid of competition.--Link hero of light 20:38, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oh byw, could you give me a link to the page on zeldapedia where XXXXX made fun of us, I'm just dying to see what lame insults she (or he, for some reason I get the feeling XXXXX is female) used. Also a link to the page where a admin was notified. Thanks ;).--Link hero of light 20:49, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
