Biography

I was born as Steven Alexander Christian in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany on May 3, 1992. My father, Alan Christian was stationed at a US military base in Germany, in close range of my birth place. He was told that he would have to move to a military base in Kuwait during the Gulf War (aka the Persian Gulf War). After a year, my father returned from Kuwait when they learned that we must move to the state of Georgia in the United States, near his new station for training, where we were promised shelter and supplies. We moved to Atlanta, Georgia, close to my father's relatives. It was not very often that I saw my father, who could only leave his station a few times a month. When I turned 3, my mother, Candice Christian, started showing me the basics of computers with preschool education games and at the age of 4 I was learning the basics of using the internet.

I had finished Kindergarten, at 6 years of age, when my father had resigned from military activities after they were supposedly running chemical tests on the soldiers. He had strong disregard against this, and so we moved to the state of Massachusetts, where most of my mother's relatives lived. When my family first moved to Massachusetts, we were living with my grandparents, but it was not long after when they found of place of our own, not too far from my mother's parents. My parents had found new jobs and I had begun the first grade. It was at the age of 8, when I was in second grade, that I had learned that he was going to have a younger sibling named Andrew. Nothing had really changed until I entered the 4th grade and found what an excellent drafter I was, a trait that ran on my father’s side of the family apparently.

At age 11, I was learning expert techniques of computers, already being an expert at graphic editing, knowing how to mod electronics such as a PSP, and even advanced hacking. Even with middle school being a challenge, there was really nothing exiting (considering the fact that the school was like a dictatorship) until I was ready to face his next step in life, high school. I had chosen to go to a vocational vchool, where I chose IT (Information Technology)/Graphics as my trade. Currently, I am in my junior year of high school.

Arrival

I ever really wanted to be a part of internet communities since many of my friends had told me that most people will label you as a noob, the minute you make your first post. However, in June of 2007, I decided to register at the Nintendo Nsider Forums. I made many friends there and the community was great (except for the constant spamming in many boards, tough is was actually funny). I mostly went there share my thoughts and ideas about Phantom Hourglass and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. A few months later, though, Nintendo announced that they were closing down the Nsider Forums permanently. It was a confusing and upsetting time for many members since they only had contact with friends through Nsider, and now they were separated. These are examples of just how sad it was for some people:

Closed Nsider Videos.

I ended up at Smash World Forums, however the guidelines there were very strict, you weren't even allowed to make threads about Ridley being a playable character. Someone had linked to a site called "Nsider 2, the Rebirth" were I had ran into some old friends from Nsider. Then they announced that they were merging with a site simply entitled "Nsider2". Unfortunately there, I didn't see any of my old friends, but there were many users who recognized me. I was one of the first users to register there , well no. 56, but that's pretty close considering it currently has over 11,000 members. I made many new friends there and it seemed I was there to stay. Many of my friends began to drift to other sites, and it was at that time that I figured that I should do the same. I knew it was time to leave forums sites as well, I couldn't stand the constant spamming anymore, so I decided to join a wiki site. I knew I was going to join a video game wiki, and I ad my eyes on this place for a long time. I never joined here, though, because I was already busy and didn't have the time in the world to be a part of two different communities. On June 8th, I finally decided to join here at Zelda Wiki, and I hope to be very helpful to the community. I want to take the time to list the users who were good friends and really helped me out in the past at Nsider 1 & 2:

About

Favorites

So yeah, now you know my history of my life and how I came to be here. So what do I do on a regular basis? Well, here's a list of my hobbies, interests and future goals:

Hobbies

  • Contribute at ZW (well duh): I love coming here, especially on a day where I find plenty of images to fix. I'm hoping the new Zelda comes out so I can unleash my true potential (like a tiger!)
  • Practice guitar and with my band: Thanks to our "band leader" and lead guitar, I've learned quite a bit
  • Create signatures, banners, and icons: Used to make them for people at other sites, so if you want any made, feel free to ask
  • Computer hacking and exploiting: I stay in means of the law, I'm not a power maniac like many hackers out there
  • Reading: I love reading, it's just as great as watching a movie (if not better... *coughEragoncough*). Problem is, I read quickly too, still comprehend it though. I often finish them the day I get them *sighs*. When Matt's series of books comes out though, I'll make sure to read them thoroughly =).
  • Modifying: Yes, one thing I can never stop doing. I'm constantly taking things apart and modding them, it's great. The result's always satisfying too, usually I modify game controllers by installing LEDs into the buttons, making them glow when you press them (I can't help them, so screw the warranties)
  • Cooking: I actually am pretty experienced in cooking too, I don't have a problem
  • Skate/Snowboarding: I'm not exactly the most athletic one out of the bunch, but I love skating and snowboarding (even though I break a lot of bones, lol)
  • Website designing: I'm thinking about getting in the website designing field soon, just need to learn more about the coding. So I've made some website templates in gimp, including one for Zelda Dungeon
  • Plan my future company: Yup, you heard me. My goal is to start my own computer company, to compete with Microsoft and Apple [assuming this economy doesn't destroy them =(]. I won't give out any specifics as to my Operating System's layout and functions, [nope not even the name] but I will tell you that I hope to team up with Mozilla and design many new applications with them and make Firefox the default browser for my OS.
