Sasa Kai Shrine, designated by the Trial name A Modest Test of Strength, is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

Sasa Kai Shrine is located in Gerudo Highlands, directly next to Gerudo Tower. On top of Gerudo Tower, Link can find Kass singing a legend about the Ancient Shrine. By listening to Kass's song about it, Link will initiate the Shrine Quest "Sign of the Shadow". [1] Link must stand on a pedestal near the tower and shoot an Arrow at the sun around 3 p.m. Once Link does this, the shrine will emerge from the ground and activate.

Themes and Navigation

Sasa Kai Shrine features a large primary chamber, from which a Guardian Scout rises from a pit once Link gets near. In order to complete the Trial, Link must defeat this Guardian Scout. Once it is defeated, a portcullis leading to Sasa Kai will rise allowing Link to speak to him. He will give Link a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial,[2] and will wish Link well before fading away.[3]

A Treasure Chest behind the portcullis contains a Frostblade.
