Template:Unsigned

Notice!

If a user has signed a post with their username, but forgot to include the time of their signature, you may use the {{Post Time}} template instead.

Purpose

Used to attribute unsigned comments on talk pages to their author. When using this template, it may be a good idea to remind the user to sign their posts themselves (say something along the lines of "Remember to sign your posts using ~~~~!").

Usage

    {{Unsigned|Username (Required) |Date & Time (Required) }}

• Username — Enter the full username of the user here.
• Date & Time — Enter the UTC time of the message post (use the latest edit made by the user if multiple edits to the post were made). In the revision history of the post, copy and paste the time part from "Revision as of ##:##, Month Day, Year (edit) (undo)" line and then add "(UTC)" to the end.

When used, the template should look like this:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit... {{Unsigned|FakeUsername|17:46, December 10, 2021 (UTC)}}

This will appear as this:

Lorem ipsum
