Template:Log

Purpose

This template provides a simple way to link to various parts of Special:Log.

Usage

To use this template, start with this code:

Here are descriptions of the parameters.

• log — This is the type of log, it can either be the name used in the URL, or the name used by the log title. If not defined, it defaults to displaying all logs.
• user — Use this to only have log entries made by the specified user. Case-sensitive.
• page — Use this to only have log entries applied to the specified page. Case-sensitive.
• year — This is the filter the entries by year.
• month — This filters log entries by month, must be in number format. It defaults to -1, which displays all months.
• title — This is what you want the link to say, if not specified it will say whatever you put down as the log type.
• text — This is what you want to display as the alternate text, if left blank it will displaye what you placed down for the link title, and if that was left blank it is set to the log type.
• hidepatrol — Use this to specify to hide (enter 1), or to show (enter 0) the patrol logs when displaying all log types. Defaults to not displaying them.

ALTERNATELY:

If you don't need any specific options and just want a basic link, then type the following:

All parameters are the same as above, the last two are optional.

Log Types

Here's a table of the types of logs to use in the log type parameter. The name in either of the first two columns can be used in the parameter, not sensitive to case. Sometimes the type and name is the same, sometimes it isn't. The wiki's descriptions for the types are included in the third column.

Log Type	Log Name	Description
abusefilter	abuse filter	This log shows a summary of changes made to filters. For full details, see the list of recent filter changes.
all	all public	Combined display of all available logs of Zelda Wiki. You can narrow down the view by selecting a log type, the username (case-sensitive), or the affected page (also case-sensitive).
block	block	This is a log of user blocking and unblocking actions. Automatically blocked IP addresses are not listed. See the block list for the list of currently operational bans and blocks.
delete	deletion	Below is a list of the most recent deletions.
import	import	Administrative imports of pages with edit history from other wikis.
interwiki	interwiki table	MediaWiki:Interwiki logpagetext
move	move	Below is a list of all page moves.
patrol	patrol	This is a log of patrolled revisions.
protect	protection	Below is a list of changes to page protections. See the protected pages list for the list of currently operational page protections.
upload	upload	Below is a list of the most recent file uploads. See the gallery of new files for a more visual overview.
newusers	user creation	This is a log of user creations.
renameuser	user rename	This is a log of changes to user names.
rights	user rights	This is a log of changes to user rights.
