Tear of Din
Tears of Din are Items in Skyward Sword.[1]
Location and Uses
Tears of Din are Sacred Tears found within Din's Silent Realm. There are 15 total Tears that must be collected in order for Link to prove his power and earn the right to temper his Goddess White Sword with Din's Flame.[2][3] Tears of Din are stored inside the Spirit Vessel, a plant representing Link's spirit that is given to him when he passes through the Trial Gate.[4] When a Tear of Din is obtained, it will pacify the Guardians inside Din's Silent Realm for 90 seconds. After this period of time, they will awaken if Link is standing outside of the Trial Gate. The effects of the Tears will also be nullified if Link is caught by an Earth Watcher or Sky Watcher.
Upon collecting all 15 of the Tears of Din, the Guardians will return a permanent resting state and Link will be able to safely return to the Trial Gate with proof of his power. As a reward for his accomplishment, Link will receive the Fireshield Earrings, allowing him to walk through Scorching Climates and meet with Eldin in the Volcano Summit.
