Contradiction with Ocarina of Time

The fact that zoras lay eggs make Ruto and Link's engagement in Ocarina of Time pretty unlikely, Ruto being an egg-laying zora and Link being a human-like Hylian and (presumabely) a mammal. That fact may have been not known by 10-ish Ruto that gives Link Zora's Sapphire but was almost certainly understood by 17-ish Ruto met in the Water Temple. Zoras not being mammals also contradicts Ruto and Lulu having breasts. --Corosive Frog (talk) 19:47, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Zoras laying eggs, while still having breasts is, however, consistent with being a monotreme, animals (like the platypus) that lay eggs, while also having the ability to breastfeed. Roderik (talk) 03:01, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
