USK rating

'Cause of this edit: zeldapendium (German zeldawiki) said and says "USK: Keine Altersbeschränkung" (means as much as "USK: 0", no age restriction, for everyone). So, it might be possible, that the old N64 version was rated with that, or not? Thus there actually might be a difference between the N64 rating and the VC version rating. USK (searching for "Super Smash Bros." there) themselve only mention "Super Smash Bros. - System: Nintendo Wii", so only the Wii-VC version, and German wikipedia says that USK was created 1994, so prior to the release of SSB and in contrary to PEGI, which was created after the release. So any proof for any rating for the N64 version or any reason for not mentioning a possible difference? -Bernd 17:11, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I simply removed the mention that it was the VC version as it appears to be the only version that USK has classified. While the USK may have been founded in 1994, it did not classify SSBM in Germany - ELSPA did (see this boxart). I removed the "(Virtual Console)" note because it isn't relevant when they have only classified one version of the game. --SnorlaxMonster 17:27, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The German Player's Choice version of SSBM has a "USK_Geeignet ab_6 Jahren" (_=line break) on it and ELSPA should have been a British thing. Though it might be true, that they didn't rate SSB or the normal version of SSBM. But then, couldn't it be better to note that the original version was unrated resp. that they only rated the VC version? Just asking, even though mentioning it seems better in my opionion, I'm fine with both. -Bernd 18:16, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think classifications are only really relevant when they were actually classified. If they never classified it, I would leave it off. It probably wouldn't be that bad an idea to note that the rating only applies to the VC version (since several ratings differed between the original and remake). --SnorlaxMonster 18:35, 28 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
