Sheikah
Exactly what are these "certain characteristics" that lead people to believe Renado is descendant from the Sheikah? I see nothing to suggest that. In fact, since he's obviously supposed to be modeled after native Americans, racially he would be the Hyrule equivalent of a mongoloid. Jimbo Jambo 20:33, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- That's a good question. He does not have red eyes either, or any real Sheikah traits for that matter. Considering the Native American flare of the entire village, him being Native American could be a possibility. Let's see what everyone else thinks.Mandi Talk
- I believe the only evidence for Renado being a Sheikah is his residence in Kakariko Village. He serves a similar position to Impa in previous games in that he guides Link early in the adventure, and he is wise and mysterious in a manner often attributed to Sheikah, but that's all speculation. Renado and Impa both appear to have fuller lips than humans; this could possibly be argued as a racial feature. I agree with the Native American theory. I think that many fans WANT Renado to be a Sheikah, so they're searching for evidence. I don't oppose the theory being posted since it is intriguing, but I agree that the "certain characteristics" are sketchy. --Wodo, Sage of Mediocrity 02:13, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
Hylian

- Good point...but, how do they know if Luda and Renado are Hylians or humans? We can't really see their ears. XD Or is there official info that points out what race they are? Dany36 01:14, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Renado is the Hylian Zant
seriously, I'm playing Twilight Princess right now and this will be my third time playing the game from start to finish and I just noticed the Renado's clothes look like Zant's. Seriously, the brown part of his dress thinggy looks like Zant's sash thinggy and the sleeves of Renado's dress thiggy look like Zant's they've even got the tassles at the end, which draws me to the conclusion that Renado is the Hylian Zant -Kailuh727
- It could just be mindless speculation, or you may be on to something - I don't think we'll ever know the heritage and true ancestry of most of the minor characters we meet over the Zelda series. Well, Renado being a Hylian Zant suggests a Majora's Mask-like parallel which I feel Twilight Princess stays far away from, especially since there are only two known Twili in comparison to the rest of the Light World. Perhaps Renado is a descendent/relative to the tribe Zant had been a part of before he became Twili, as per the similar clothing - such is already mentioned in the Trivia section here. — ciprianotalk 15:07, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

- Renado is a dude, for sure (you'll find him portrayed as a "he" in the game, and in all official guides), but I did originally think he was a she as well when I played the game for the first time. =) — ciprianotalk 15:03, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
