Talk:Poe Sisters

For the OoT/MM sisters, shouldn't we just rename the Joelle (Poe), Amy (Poe), and Meg (Poe) articles as just Joelle, Amy, and Meg, since there are no other characters which share their names which they need to be distinguished from (the exception being Beth, which should stay where it is, although we could use an otheruses tag on the Beth article)? Also, concerning Joelle's name, as I recall she was just called "Jo" in both OoT and MM. Jimbo Jambo 18:43, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

It's not really my place for a say, but I just feel that it should at least be mentioned due to the connections. It didn't necessarily state that they are for a fact 'Poe Sisters', but it should atleast be brought up to note the similiarities and such...Yeah, I think I've said what I was planning to say so now I'll stop saying things and sign my username before I forget.Icytriforc 00:28, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Ghost Sisters, not really Poes?

So I was checking my guides for the Oracle of Seasons, and while the English guide calls them Poes, the Japanese guide calls them "Ghost Sisters", no mention of "Poe" is made at all. This makes sense, because they look nothing like Poes, they're more like the ghost from Link's Awakening and even have the same sound effect when they appear.

However, this presents a dilemma; obviously this is an English wiki, and the English guide calls them Poes. But it never calls them Poe Sisters. So I propose we split the page; we either assume the guide made a mistake and split them to "Ghost Sisters", or we split them to "Poes (Oracle of Seasons)". I should note that the Oracle guides are not exactly perfect when it comes to names; they misnamed Lynels, as well as a few other things, and the ghost in Link's Awakening was not called a Poe either, nor are Spookter & Spekter. But I'm fine either way; I just think it should be clear they're not the same as the Poe Sisters in Ocarina and Majora, so a split would be a good idea if you ask me. Well, darn, I just noticed that the ones in Oracina of Time are not called Poes in the Japanese version either? That's thrown me for a loop. I should of checked that first. I'm going to look into that and see if that's true. User:Fizzle8094/sig 08:28, 21 August 2012 (EDT)

Okay, after a bit of a backtrack and a think, I think we should actually merge Joelle, Beth and Amy into this one page. However, we should let Meg have a page still, as she's the Forest Temple mid boss, while the others are just regular enemies. As for the Oracle of Seasons Poes, they should either have an extensive section here covering both Poes, or their own page. Thoughts? User:Fizzle8094/sig 09:53, 21 August 2012 (EDT)

Wait—what makes Meg a mini-boss and the other three regular enemies? As for OOS, a split doesn't seem necessary to me (it would be pretty stubby on its own), so I'd vote for keeping them here. — Hylian King ^[*] 10:15, 21 August 2012 (EDT)

Well, articles are only stubby as long as they're not fleshed out. Obviously I would flesh it out. It's pretty bare bones at the moment. There's more that could be said about them, I think. I'll see what I can do. As for Meg... she has mini-boss music. The other three don't. Which is pretty much the only defining rule of "mini-boss" in Ocarina. But, she also fights significantly different to the other three, who all fight identically (and extremely similar to regular Poes, no less). All four are mini-bosses in Majora's Mask, however, but they're all fought as a group in that case. User:Fizzle8094/sig 09:28, 28 August 2012 (EDT)
