I'm nominating this page up for deletion. The article seems to be rather opinionated, which isn't necessarily what an encyclopedia is about. Thoughts? Dany36 18:00, 24 August 2011 (EDT)

I agree. The horse call is useful for quickly moving between places where the warps don't go, and the telescope has gotten me many great screenshots/renders. I feel people will say things like "the spinner is only used in the desert" or "rupees are useless in the 3D games". Very subjective topic. — Abdullah [T] [C] [S]  21:33, 24 August 2011 (EDT)
I usually don't support deletions (as plans A, B and C, I always try to find a way to improve a page), but I don't see how this one could be improved. Also, it's natural that certain items lose use at key points of the game (Golden Gauntlets, about 80% of the masks in MM, the Tingle Tuner if you don't have a GBA, the Spinner, the Dominion Rod, the Ball and Chain, the Hammer in PH, the Golden Scale in OOT, etc.). --K2L (Interrogatory) 21:48, 24 August 2011 (EDT)
What about a page that talks about the usability of items in general. Such as not being useful at all, losing usability after a certain point, not being useful if you don't have something (Tingle Tuner), etc. It is a valid element that occurs very often in the series but it'd need a new article, with a broader scope to cover everything, with a more professional name. Maybe covering the community opinions on the usefulness of rupees. The stance that parts of the community has on it is notable.—Emma (Talk) 22:42, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
We could cover an item's usefulness and limitations on Gameplay Elements of The Legend of Zelda Series. If it becomes too long, .... we might branch into a separate page for Items in general, which would include a more neutral take on this topic =). --K2L (Interrogatory) 19:44, 25 August 2011 (EDT)
