Ocean Sanctuary
The Ocean Sanctuary is a location in Spirit Tracks.[1] It is found within the Ocean Realm.
Features and Overview
The Sanctuary is situated on a small island just beyond Papuchia Village and primarily serves as the abode of the Realm's Lokomo guardian, Carben. The outside of the Sanctuary, which is divided in two sections, is the biggest Sanctuary in all of New Hyrule.
Link comes to the Sanctuary to meet with Carben after restoring just enough of the Realm's lost Spirit Tracks to reach it. In order to access the chamber of the Sanctuary in which Carben is located, Link must trace the paths of the Stone Statues' gazes that are scattered throughout the Sanctuary.[2] Once he draws the correct figure on a panel, the door to the chamber will open only to reveal an empty room with a sign left by Carben, indicating that he is in Papuchia Village.[3] After getting Carben's attention through the use of the Song of Birds, Link takes Carben aboard the Spirit Train and returns with him to the Sanctuary, fighting off invading Pirates along the way.[4] At the Sanctuary, the pair, with the help of Link's Spirit Flute and Carben's flute, play the required Song of Restoration to restore the lost Spirit Tracks that lead to the entrance of the Ocean Floor and, eventually, to the Ocean Temple.
