By using the Lens of Truth , Link is able to reveal hidden platforms made of Ice that allow him to approach the pillar. On the final platform, he must play the "Scarecrow's Song " on the Ocarina of Time to summon Pierre on top of the pillar. He can then use the Hookshot on Pierre to reach the pillar, from where he can pick up the Piece of Heart.
