Missy is a character that appeared in Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.

Biography

Missy is a very intelligent girl who appears after reaching Sunshine Seashore. When greeted by Tingle, she introduces herself, commenting that she wants to become a doctor, in order to help people. She explains that she is researching a medicine to help people recover energy. Missy requests that Tingle bring her a Ground Shell and Minced Meat. When he brings her the Minced Meat she requests, Missy examines its calorie, carbohydrate and protein contents. When Missy is given a Ground Shell, she identifies the mineral composition of the Shell. After Tingle succeeds in doing this, Missy will give him the recipe for Tingly, a medicine which he can then bring to the Guard to help his sick wife. The medicine can also be made to give to Tingle's Bodyguard.

Later in the game, Missy is lost in Lon Lon Meadow. Tingle has to find her glasses in order to save her. Missy's father, Jeweler, will then reward Tingle for Missy's rescue. For the rest of the game, she will be in the most eastern part of Port Town. If Tingle speaks with her after he has reached the Second Continent, she will tell him about a medic in the Gooey Swamp who has invented a new medicine, Tinglene. Once he has reached the Third Continent, she will tell him about the Shaman of Mount Desma who has invented another new medicine, Mega-Tingly.

Nomenclature

Missy is a nickname for "Melissa," though it can also be a slang term for "young woman."
