Gloom-Wreathed Enemies are a type of Enemy in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Characteristics

Gloom-Wreathed Enemies are variations of Monsters found exclusively in the Depths. They are distinguished from their Surface counterparts by the Gloom emanating from their bodies. When Link is attacked by a Gloom-Wreathed Enemy, Link's maximum amount of Hearts will be reduced.[1]

A majority of the Enemies in the Depths are Gloom-Wreathed, with the only exception being the Bosses within the Fire Temple, the Spirit Temple, and Boss Rematches. All varieties of Froxes and Constructs that can be found in the Depths are exempt from being Gloom Wreathed as well. When Link and the Sages face the Demon King's Army, all of the Monsters they encounter will be Gloom-Wreathed.
