Linktober is a Legend of Zelda fan website created by Joel Siegel. The site is used to provide information on its annual community event of the same name, hosted every year in October as part of the larger annual "Inktober" art event.[1] The site also hosts another annual community event known as "Zelda Creator Con," with information and showtimes of each panel featured on this website through limited access. The events are typically scheduled to run during the month of June a few days prior to Nintendo's web conferencing dates for E3.

Social Media Director marywantsacookie and Features Team member Kokiri Clair from Zelda Universe have promoted the events through social media.[2][3] Additionally, Jaimie Ditchfield and Zelda News Director Amanda VanHiel have reported Zelda Creator Con on Zelda Universe's news feed.[4]

Sean Chiplock, the voice actor for Revali, Teba, and the Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity incarnations of the Great Deku Tree, was slated to have a panel in Zelda Creator Con 2021, but had cancelled.[5] Andi Gibson, the voice actress for the Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity incarnations of Impa, was slated to participate in Zelda Creator Con 2022, but also had to cancel.[6]

  1. "Finally it began...art came flooding onto Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram all hashtagged with #linktober and #linktober2016...it...was...incredible! Over the course of the entire month I learned that there were somewhere between 300-400 participants in Linktober WORLDWIDE! It had grown into something big. This included people that did only 1 day or a few days or even the whole challenge. I was floored! The social media accounts had taken off and people were incredibly happy to have done so much art. Making it public to use Legend of Zelda as the motivation through Inktober worked, and it worked well. Numerous artists budding or experienced have new accomplishments of completing the challenge. This now meant that it had to grow more and become even bigger still." — Joel Siegel, The Legend of Linktober... , Linktober, retrieved March 25, 2023.

The Rangers help do things like decide the days of the calendars, populate our Pinterest boards, share and reshare art during Linktober on social media, and of course participate in the challenge itself. As Linktober has global appeal so too do our Rangers reflect that. We have/had team members from Australia, Scotland, The United States, Brazil, Canada, The Netherlands and more. As Linktober grows our team of Rangers will too! Click below to learn more about each one of them and see their art."Meet The Linktober Rangers! , Linktober, retrieved March 25, 2023.
