Template:Mask The Circus Leader's Mask is given to Link by Gorman at the Milk Bar in Majora's Mask.[1]
Location
The mask can be obtained after Link obtains Romani's Mask, which gives the young hero access to the Milk Bar; inside he meets Toto, manager of the Zora band The Indigo-Go's. After Link aids him by playing the pieces of music he requests using the musical instruments of each of his four forms,[2] the man at the bar, Gorman, is moved by the tune.[3] He gives Link the mask to show his gratification.
Uses
The mask, when worn, has a calming effect on people related to Gorman. When Link wears it in the presence of the Gorman Brothers, the mask will affect them emotionally, sapping all desire to be rude out of them.[4][5] The only time this benefits Link is during the segment of the game in which Link must defend Cremia's milk shipment to get the Romani Mask, as wearing the mask will prevent the bandits from attacking. Bizarrely, the Romani Mask is required to get the Circus Leader's Mask in the first place, and as there is no further reward for defending the milk shipment, the Circus Leader's Mask is essentially an utterly useless mask, being necessary only for obtaining the Fierce Deity's Mask.
Trivia
- This is one of the few masks that can be obtained more than once, along with the Couple's Mask.
- When wearing the mask, it appears to be crying with falling tears.
- This is one of the four dynamic masks, along with the Great Fairy Mask (whose hair moves and shimmers), the Blast Mask (which becomes transparent after every explosion), and the Bunny Hood (whose ears move as Link runs).
