Bongo Bongo is Wanted

I think Bongo Bongo is the one in the Kakariko wanted posters. It does resemble Vaati, but i think its the head (Eye with frayed bits of flesh) of Bongo Bongo. It makes sense, since he was in Kakariko, and he did kill people (I think) Should we add bongo bongo to the list of the wanted people, (Which includes Vaati and Dethl? Young Man

Can somebody tell me about this young man who dwelled in the Shadow Temple? I don't recall something like this (maybe a Gossip Stone?)

What? Where does it said all that stuff about the sheikah affair and being transformed by the King of Hyrule?

Is Bongo Bongo the ferryman of the river of the dead for Hyrule, maybe?

I don't really think so. Besides, what makes you think he was a ferryman

Twili creature?

Why Bongo Bongo is so similar to the Twili-bird creatures

I assume you're referring to the Shadow Kargarok. In my opinion the resemblance is purely superficial; they are both "creatures of darkness", and both have a frayed "neck" with no real head. Even the similarities are tenuous at best:-
  • To me, the kargarok is a shadow creature, wheras bongo-bongo is more a creature of absolute darkness.
  • Bongo bongo's neck has an "eye" in the centre, wheras the kargarok has the crimson "twilight symbol"
  • They both "fly", but the kargarok has wings and bongo bongo "levitates"
  • etc...

Presonally, I found that the Ing from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes resemble Bongo Bongo more than the Shadow creatures. Actually, they share very much similarities. Whether Bongo Bongo was an inspiration for Retro is unknown to me.

Does anyone think...

That if he was human he was a drummer and when he died he mutated and transformed into these creature, i know its stupid but it came up in my sleep. - Dead with a Corpse; Garo Ninja

I thought the theroey on the page was really interesting-I think if he was executed by the Sheikah it was in this certain room that had a torture device inside, I can't place where...perhaps Bongo-Bongo is the man that could see the truth, and in execution had his hands and head *shiver* cut off. no matter what it's still scary. Exclusive article????

I believe the Misc section has enough speculation and suspicion about Bongo Bongo's 'past' to be the groundwork for an exclusive article. I'd write it, perhaps if it was over the summer.

Cipriano 119 15:29, 14 March 2008 (EDT)

I agree. Bongo Bongo has no specific origin, and, although this isn't quite approved of on wikis, we should have a page on speculation. However, I do say that since we are an encyclopedia, we should have some form of control...not everyone spamming the pages with cracked up theories about how he's a creature that escaped through a rift in the dimensions that separates Star Fox and Zelda.

...

For some reason, I find that amusing... Darqlink51 13:40, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

In the Majora's Mask, it tells you that there was this beast with an armour and this guy played his bongos till the beast died, and the armour was used to create the Majora's Mask. That guy was probably the mask salesman. He created the mask and lens of truth. Because of the evil powers of the Majora's Mask, he went mad and started murdering people. He was executed with his hands and head chopped off. When he was buried, his grave became the Shadow Temple. Conker13 7th June 2009

While the theories are fascinating, I think perhaps the wiki article has covered the theory as much as an encyclopedia ought to. Links to non-canon manga may be stretching it, and theories on how Bongo Bongo lived, died, and hopped dimensions will likely include speculation far beyond what's stated in the game. --Wodo, Sage of Mediocrity 03:03, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Four Giant Counterpart?

Bongo Bongo could be a giant gone bad frome termina or one of the four giants counterparts most likely swamp or canyon. Luke 23:17, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Bongo-Bongo

In the theory section at the lower part of the page where it talks about the oldman by the Spider House, I always thought that man was talking about the fellow in the abandoned Guard House in Hyrule Castle Town. He has a red eye. Could it be him?--Mistertrouble189 22:21, 5 July 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You mean the Poe salesman. It might be him, but who knows? --Felicia's Champion 06:06, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Can't be him. He and Bongo Bongo exist at the same time, in two different places. That effectively rules out that chance.User:Matt/sig 06:12, July 19, 2008 (UTC)
Just to clarify, what I meant here was that possibly the Poe salesman was the one who could see the truth, instead of Bongo Bongo. --Felicia's Champion 06:17, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

theorys

i LOVE the theorys! can i lead that project!!!!!!!!!Dragonstetraforce 22:34, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

What... project exactly are we talking about? I don't see anything about that... User:Ando/sig 01:12, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

i mean can i create one. this probably isnt the place to talk about this. sorry.Dragonstetraforce 21:38, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Difficulty

Umm... what makes this guy so hard to beat? I took him down with no problem. Yoshimon 14:05, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Darned if I know, but the people I know all cry at the mention of his name. I think they try to use the Hookshot to stun his hands and his constant pounding disrupts it, but I did it like that easily. I don't know, it's just one of those things... --Felicia's Champion 23:27, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
There is a small bit of irony here. I scanned the page history. That statement was added by one person. This person has already spoken in this section. [1]. It is understandable. But can you recall anything at all now? Did you find him hard at the time? If not, should we just remove it?User:Matt/sig 04:17, October 13, 2008 (UTC)
I don't even need to look at your link to know I'm the one who added it. I added it due to what friends told me: a couple of them had given up the game because Bongo Bongo kicked their behinds so thoroughly. As for me, it was my bragging right to tell them that unlike them, I never had any difficulty in taking down Bongo Bongo. So, he was never hard for me, but he was hard for several others I know.
As for removing that one line...maybe. --Felicia's Champion 06:29, 13 October 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Bongo Bongo was easy both for me and by two brothers who played the game. He is a cinch to beat so long as the player has at least one fairy in a bottle. That much is needed. Oh yeah and tons and tons of arrows. Also the way I beat him was that when I confronted him on my first time through the game I had the Biggoron's Sword equipped and when I played the game again I decided to not use the Biggoron's Sword and I still found him to be easy. Maybe it's experience?--Flashpenny 22:22, 18 March 2009 (UTC)FlashpennyReply[reply]

I think that it's too subjective of a statement. Not to mention, I personally remember Bongo Bongo being the easiest boss in the game. Both my brothers would agree. I say that the article be edited accordingly. Also, I cleaned up and labeled the "Strategy" section of the article, though I fail to see its relevancy. -- Xizor 22:51, 8 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I personally think he's hard as heck to beat. I mean, i just spent the past hour on him. That's mostly because this is my first time actually playing the game instead of just watching people play it, and i'm terrible at games in general. But he was honestly extremely hard to me. I had to use 2 bottled fairies. Roccie 21:08, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Theories

I don't know if I should put this in the article, but my theory is that he stayed in his house playing the bongo unless he must leave for some reason. He may have caught a theif of some sort with his ability to see the truth. Because of this ability he could have been captured and tortured before have his head and hands sliced off with a guilotine.

Super Smash Bros

Isn't the way you battle his hands sort of like how you battle the giant hand in Super Smash Bros? I mean, the way the hand floats around, smacks at you, etc. Cept Bongo Bongo has 2 hands. Should this be in the trivia section? I mean, it's so similar! Roccie 21:05, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Go for it, even better to have a comparable image on hand to show the similarities. User:Axiomist/sig 06:11, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Beating him without the lense of truth

yo. its actually possible to beat him without the lense of truth.ive done it before. you just have to carefully observe the hands, the closer they are, the closer the bongo is to you. should i put that in the triva place? Ciela101 11:20, 5 December 2010 (EST)
