The Water Gate Dungeon (水のほこら, Water Shrine) is the second dungeon in the Dark World in A Link to the Past.

It is located in the south, in the area below Link's House (which is now a bomb shop). The main treasure is the Hookshot. The end boss is Arrghus. After defeating him you receive a Heart Container and the 2nd Crystal.

Access to the dungeon is granted by returning to the Light World, going into a building where the Water Gate Dungeon is in the Dark World, pulling a switch to change the water level, and returning to the Dark World.

Note: In the Game Boy Advance remake, this was renamed Swamp Palace.
