Template:Character Renado is a shaman in Twilight Princess.
Biography
Renado lives in Kakariko Village with his daughter Luda, and it is he who finds the children from Ordon Village and shelters them.[1] After Ilia and the Zora Prince come to the village, he takes care of both of them, and helps Link as much as he can. Telma apparently has a romantic attraction to Renado,[2][3] although these feelings are unrequited; when he gives Link his letter for Telma, he specifically says he doesn't wish to see her.[4] He also mentions that he was friends with Bo, mayor of Ordon Village.[5][6]
Theory
- Many people believe that Renado is a member of the Sheikah tribe, due to certain characteristics. However, he does not react or respond when shown the Sheikah statue or show any signs of recognition when Gor Coron describes the Sheikah tribe's history whilst in Renado's company.
- Renado also has dark skin and brown eyes, which may hint at some possible Gerudo ancestry as well.
Trivia
- Renado wears similar style of clothes to Zant's.
- Renado shares some physical traits with the character corresponding to Nudge on the wall painting hanging in the sunken Hyrule Castle in The Wind Waker.
- Like the Loyal Sage from A Link to the Past, who is also an ally of Link, Renado resides in a Hyrulean Sanctuary.
