It includes all previously released content from Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends, including every map, character, mission, and all downloadable content.[8] This puts the amount of playable Warriors at a total of 29.[9] The game will feature 1080p HD resolution in TV mode and 2 player multiplayer on one Nintendo Switch console both in TV mode and on the device itself.[10] It can be played with a single Joy-Con controller.[10]

The game adds new Link and Zelda Costumes based on their appearance in Breath of the Wild.[11]
