Variations

The default form of the Great Swords are the Swords of Despair, which are gigantic, mismatched blades with sinister designs.

The Swords of Darkness are purple in design and feature more spikes than the Swords of Despair. They can be obtained from getting an A-Rank on Adventure Mode's Adventure Map square F-15 after using an Ice Arrow to find them.

The Swords of Demise are black and red swords with gold hilts and pommels, now bearing several red, horn-like spikes emerging from each blade. They can be obtained from getting an A-Rank on the Adventure Map square B-8, after using the Digging Mitts to find them.

The Lv.★ form of the Great Swords are the 8-Bit Magical Key, which are based on the regular Keys and Magical Key from The Legend of Zelda but is only available for Hyrule Warriors. They are obtained by getting an A-Rank on Twilight Map square H-5, after using a Bomb to find them.
