"EX Trial of the Sword" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Overview
Upon approaching the Master Sword's pedestal, The Great Deku Tree will speak to Link, instructing him to place his sword back into the pedestal in order to accept the Trial of the Sword.[2]
Objectives

| 1 | You heard a mysterious voice that mentioned something about a glorious trial... What could this trial be? The voice instructed you to speak with the Great Deku Tree at Korok Forest to take on the challenge... |
| 2 | According to the Great Deku Tree, the Master Sword's true splendor has yet to be awakened. To do so, you must conquer the Trial of the Sword. Challenge the Trial of the Sword by placing the Master Sword in its pedestal. |
| 3 | You have overcome parts of the Trial, allowing you to wield even more of the Master Sword's power. But the Trial of the Sword continues...Persevere until you have unlocked the true splendor of the Master Sword! |
| Complete | You conquered the merciless Trial of the Sword! You now have the physical and mental strength necessary to use the Master Sword to its full potential. Princess Zelda is no doubt quite happy with your achievement. |
