The Duck is a recurring bird species in The Legend of Zelda series.

Appearances

A Link to the Past

The Flute Boy's Duck
The Flute Boy's Duck

A single duck appears in A Link to the Past. When Link plays the flute nearby the Weathercock in the centre of Kakariko Village, the Flute Boy's duck will appear from inside the statue. If Link plays the flute again, the bird will appear and transport him to one of 8 different locations in the Light World.

Twilight Princess

Ducks are found in Ordon Village and in the Fishing Hole in Twilight Princess. They can either be found swimming in the pond or walking along the banks. As a wolf, Link can talk to them. One of the ducks in the Fishing Hole tells him how to get the Sinking Lure.

Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland

In Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, Ducks are found in Steamy Marsh. They will run away from Tingle when he approaches. If Tingle chases one for a sufficient period of time, it will simply blow itself up, denying Tingle any items in the process.
