Location and Uses

The mitts are received from a Mogma in the Eldin Volcano after Link routs a horde of Bokoblins that invaded the underground cavern. The mitts are used to dig through dirt, similar to the Mole Mitts in The Minish Cap. Being an equipment-based item, they are perpetually worn on Link's hands, so when a soft spot is nearby, simply pressing the A button will make Link dig that spot.

The Mogma Mitts are an upgrade for the Digging Mitts found in the Fire Sanctuary. They allow Link to burrow underground through patches of soft sand. While digging underground, Link can break rocks, set off bombs, and hit switches. They are also used to attack Moldorms underground. Silva gives them to Link as a reward for rescuing him.

Other Appearances

In Hyrule Warriors, the Digging Mitts appear in Adventure Mode as an Item Card to dig out holes on the map to reveal the Reward.
