It opens only later at night, most likely because the store has a reputation in selling stolen merchandise.[1][2] The shop opens at 10 PM,[3] and closes later near dawn. It is one of few stores that will purchase certain Bottled items from Link.[4]

The Curiosity Shop also has a second "employee" of sorts. The Takkuri near the Termina Field entrance to Milk Road will swoop down to steal items from passers-by,[5] and will drop them off at the Curiosity Shop to be sold to anyone who wants it.
