The Blastworm is an enemy featured in Spirit Tracks, first encountered in the Forest Temple. When injured, the Blastworm will roll into a spiny ball which detonates on contact. Though these animals seem heavy, they can, in fact, be blown about using the Whirlwind, aiding in the several puzzles found about the Forest Temple that require the activation of unreachable switches. Blastworms are naturally quite docile, though they will crawl towards Link if he comes too close.
