Recoverable Materials | |
Black Hinoxes are the strongest versions of Hinoxes found in Breath of the Wild. They wear greaves on their legs, similar to Blue Hinoxes, but their metal composition makes Black Hinoxes vulnerable to Electricity-based attacks.[3] Like all other Hinoxes, their eyes are vulnerable to attacks. When defeated, they drop Hinox Toenails, Hinox Teeth, Hinox Guts, and a range of Roasted Meats.
As part of "The Three Giant Brothers" Shrine Quest, Link must retrieve an Ancient Orb from each of the three Hinoxes on Mount Taran.[4] The Hinox (Oldest Kin) is a Black Hinox, and it is located in the Rabella Wetlands.[5]
After Link defeats Calamity Ganon for the first time, he will able able to ask Kilton about Hinoxes.[6] If Link kills all of the Hinoxes in Hyrule Kingdom, including all Black Hinoxes, Kilton will reward him with the Medal of Honor: Hinox.
