Radiant Shields are mid-grade Shields made by the Gerudo. They are presented to Gerudo warriors once they achieve the rank of captain, and they are considered to be a direct upgrade to Gerudo Shields.[1] In addition, they're also known for their incredible Shield Surfing abilities.[citation needed] Their opulence is rivaled only by their capabilities in combat.[1]
There are four Radiant Shields scattered throughout Hyrule Kingdom, with a fifth added in Master Mode.[where?]
- Inside the secret treasure cave in the mountain east of the Sho Dantu Shrine, along with other Weapons.
Selmie will comment on Radiant Shields if Link speaks to her with one equipped. She reveals that they're very rare, and she practically never sees them anymore.[2]
Due to their metal compositions, Radiant Shields will attract Lightning if they're equipped during thunderstorms. They also sink if they're dropped in water. However, they can be manipulated with the Magnesis Rune, and they won't burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
