Old Man Ulrira
Template:Character Grandpa Ulrira, also known as Old Man Ulrira, is a character in Link's Awakening.
Biography
Grandpa Ulrira is a shy old man who lives in Mabe Village on Koholint Island. If Link talks to him in his house, he will tell Link to speak to him through a telephone outside.[1] Wherever Link finds a Telephone Booth on the island, Ulrira gives him helpful hints on how to progress through the game. He is married to Grandma Ulrira, a loud, cheerful old woman who spends her time sweeping the island with a broom.
Ulrira seems to know everything about the island,[2] and often knows exactly what Link should do to progress in the game.[3]
If Link approaches one of the windows outside Ulrira's House, the Photographer snaps a photo of Ulrira as seen through the window, revealing his talkative nature.

Hyrule Warriors Legends
In Hyrule Warriors Legends, Grandpa Ulrira appears as an Item Card for the Koholint Island Map in the Link's Awakening DLC Pack. It is used to answer phones which unlocks secret rewards.
Trivia
- Ulrira's house is referred to as "Old Man Ulrira's House."
- If Link makes a call from the phone inside of Ulrira's house, it dials the number of someone calling himself the Bucket Mouse. After he hangs up, a message appears saying that Link must have dialed the wrong number.[4]
