Curry Rice
Curry Rices are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][name references needed]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Curry Rices are made by Cooking Hylian Rice and Goron Spice together in a Cooking Pot. They can be eaten to restore two Hearts to Link's Life Gauge, and they also sell for 20 Rupees. They are a favorite all over Hyrule, noted to be a simple dish with a flavor people don't get tired of.[1]
Lester, a worker at Rito Stable, will request Link bring him Goron Spice,[2] which begins the "Curry for What Ails You" Side Quest. As a reward for completing this quest, Lester will give Link 50 Rupees.[3]
Only fruits can be added to Curry Rice, otherwise the resulting dishes will be different meals. Using additional ingredients will create the following variations:
- Hearty Curry Rice:[4] Made by using Hearty Durians. They heal all of Link's Hearts and temporarily increase his maximum number of Hearts when eaten.[4] They are worth 50 Rupees when sold.
- Hasty Curry Rice:[5] Made by using Fleet-Lotus Seeds. When eaten, Link's speed will be temporarily boosted.[5] They heal three of Link's Hearts and sell for 30 Rupees.
- Spicy Curry Rice:[6] Made by using Spicy Peppers. Eating one will grant Link one level of Cold Resistance.[6] They restore three Hearts and can be sold for 30 Rupees.
- Electro Curry Rice:[7] Made by using Voltfruits. If they are eaten, Link will gain one level of Shock Resistance.[7] They heal six of Link's Hearts, but they can also be sold for 30 Rupees.
- Mighty Curry Rice:[8] Made by using Mighty Bananas. Eating these will temporarily boost the power of Link's attacks.[8] They will also restore three of Link's Hearts, and they sell for 30 Rupees.
- Chilly Curry Rice:[9] Made by using Hydromelons. When they are consumed, Link will gain one level of Heat Resistance for a short period of time.[9] They heal three Hearts and sell for 30 Rupees.
