Template:Minigame The Legend of Zelda Zone is a Zelda-themed package of downloadable content (DLC) featured in Sonic Lost World. It was made available for free for the Wii U version of the game on March 27, 2014.
Gameplay
The Legend of Zelda Zone features Sonic the Hedgehog dressed as Link exploring an open area resembling Hyrule Field, and a secret area resembling a Dungeon, in search for the Triforce. Sonic's life bar is represented by hearts; Sonic starts with 3 hearts, but his life energy can be expanded by opening Treasure Chests containing Heart Containers. Green, Blue, and Red Rupees are collected instead of Rings.
The DLC features many easter eggs and references to the Zelda series, including the appearance of Fairies that restore Sonic's hearts, Gossip Stones that react differently to attacks, Cuccos that attack back when attacked, Hyrule Castle in the background of the overworld, Link flying around on his Crimson Loftwing, classic traps like Floor Spikes, bombing rocks to open secret areas, and the use of various Legend of Zelda songs and sounds, such as the Overworld Theme, the Dungeon Theme from A Link to the Past, and the Puzzle Solved jingle.
