Tal Tal Heights is [[The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening]]'s equivalent to [[Death Mountain]] in the other games' installations. Located at the northern-most part of the map, Tal Tal Heights is the broad mountain range located on the mystical [[Koholint Island]] that Link awakens on upon being washed ashore from a fierce ship wreck. Unlike Death Mountain, Tal Tal Heights contains [[Turtle Rock]] on the western-most border, as opposed to Death Mountain's eastern-most location of the lava-filled inferno.
