The scenario begins with the Divine Beast Vah Medoh appearing, where Revali will have to destroy 27 Outposts that are in and over Lake Mekar. The game will be over if Vah Medoh loses all of its HP to the monsters.

Once Revali destroys all the outposts, Link and his friends go through the Lost Woods. They were getting lost, when they find Hestu, a Korok.
After destroying all the HWAoC surrounding the HWAoC, HWAoC and the other pilots, alongside HWAoC, HWAoC, and HWAoC, traverse on foot through into the forest. Unbeknownst to them, a cloaked figure commands two HWAoC to hunt down the group.

Hestu guides them through the Lost Woods to Korok Forest in exchange for the characters protecting him. They then find out that there is a Malice swamp blocking their path. They then must defeat the Hollows of Mipha, Daruk, Revali, and Urbosa in order to destroy the Malice swamp. They find the Master Sword, but then find that Astor, the Prophet of Doom, is in the way. Then, the objective changes and Link must defeat Astor in order to win. Note that Link is the only playable character here, and during the Astor boss fight no one else can attack Astor.
The group was getting lost, seeing no viable method to navigate through the fog, until they encounter HWAoC, a large HWAoC who requires help getting back to HWAoC. HWAoC guides the group through the HWAoC by opening various HWAoC leading to HWAoC. After fighting off various HWAoC and a HWAoC, they then find out that there is HWAoC blocking their path.

Being Guided by Hestu
Splitting up, each member of the group then encounters HWAoC resembling the four HWAoC. If a HWAoC encounters a HWAoC resembling themselves, they will insult the HWAoC before fighting them. Upon defeating each of the HWAoC, a portion of the HWAoC will disappear, eventually clearing up to allow HWAoC and HWAoC to enter the HWAoC while HWAoC and the HWAoC fight off monsters in the surrounding area.
When protecting Hestu, order one of the characters(order by pressing +, than pressing the A button) to stay with Hestu, while making the character you are controlling to patrol ahead. This way, the characters can make sure there is no danger ahead of Hestu, while Hestu can easily be protected by switching to the character guarding Hestu.

The Hollows
HWAoC and HWAoC find the HWAoC, but they also encounter a using an unknown device to wield HWAoC. The unnamed figure summons the same HWAoC from earlier to all attack, prompting HWAoC to charge in. Despite maintaining a defensive position, the HWAoC resembling HWAoC clashes its trident against HWAoC while HWAoC raises his shield to defend against arrows fired from the HWAoC resembling HWAoC. sword shatters while he attempts to block an attack from the HWAoC resembling HWAoC, only to be knocked backwards towards the HWAoC and leaving HWAoC.
Once the characters see the Malice swamp, Hestu should become playable. Try to use Hestu as much as possible, as he has a higher level than the other characters.

Another thing to keep in mind is to collect as many rods and apples as possible. They will become particularly useful in the Astor boss fight.
Seeking the opportunity, the unnamed figure orders the HWAoC to kill her. However, the HWAoC were stopped before they were able to reach HWAoC, disintegrating from a glow that emanated from the HWAoC, with hand near the hilt. Turning around, HWAoC takes hold of the HWAoC and begins pulling it from its pedestal. The unnamed figure turns around to face HWAoC in surprise and denial. Shortly after, HWAoC removes the HWAoC and raises it into the air, as a blue glow emanated. Immediately, he turns around to face the unnamed figure, with his new sword raised.

Astor Boss Fight
The retreats and orders the HWAoC to attack. Due to the power of the HWAoC was able to overpower all four HWAoC as the figure reappears near the pedestal of the HWAoC, revealing himself to be called HWAoC. The battle continues as HWAoC and HWAoC fight, eventually causing HWAoC to resummon the HWAoC while he protects himself. Shortly after defeating the HWAoC again, HWAoC attempts to fight HWAoC himself. Eventually, the battle ends with HWAoC retreating from battle, stating that the HWAoC was too powerful.
Astor will be completely different from all the other bosses, and will be extremely powerful. Even if Link has the Master Sword at his disposal, Astor will still be hard to defeat. My recommendation is that Link should only fight Astor when he has his Weak Point Gauge out. If Link tries to attack Astor while he is attacking, Link will lose many hearts.

Try to make the Weak Point Gauge appear by either just fighting him after Astor does an attack that makes his Weak Point Gauge appear, or use one of the rods in order to stun Astor. Using stasis against Astor when his Weak Point Gauge is out will be particularly helpful.
HWAoC regroups with HWAoC and the HWAoC arrive. Behind the HWAoC pedestal, the HWAoC awakens form his slumber, stating that the HWAoC has chosen its user and encouraging HWAoC to continue pursuing her purpose of unlocking her powers. He reassures her by stating that she has all that is needed to defeat the HWAoC, gazing towards HWAoC and the HWAoC.

"Freeing Korok Forest" is the first Scenario of Chapter 3 and eighth overall in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.[1]

Overview

Divine Beast Vah Medoh appears overhead as the Divine Beast Pilot, Link, and Zelda stand on a high elevation overlooking the Great Hyrule Forest, where Revali will comment on why Link is present without any clear purpose. After a short discussion with the others, Revali steps forward and offers to clear the monsters guarding the forest with his Divine Beast.

After destroying all the Outposts surrounding the Great Hyrule Forest, Revali and the other pilots, alongside Link, Impa, and Zelda, traverse on foot through into the forest. Unbeknownst to them, a cloaked figure commands two Yiga Footsoldiers to hunt down the group.

The group was getting lost, seeing no viable method to navigate through the fog, until they encounter Hestu, a large Korok who requires help getting back to Korok Forest. Seeing this as an opportunity, Urbosa offers for the group to protect Hestu in exchange for help to navigate through the forest.

Hestu guides the group through the Great Hyrule Forest by opening various Hidden Passages leading to Korok Forest. After fighting off various Stalkoblins and a Stalnox, they then find out that there is Malice blocking their path.

Splitting up, each member of the group then encounters Hollows resembling the four Divine Beast Pilot. If a Divine Beast Pilot encounters a Hollow resembling themselves, they will insult the Hollow before fighting them. Upon defeating each of the Hollows, a portion of the Malice will disappear, eventually clearing up to allow Link and Zelda to enter the Korok Forest while Hestu and the Divine Beast Pilot fight off monsters in the surrounding area.

Link and Zelda find the Master Sword, but they also encounter a an unnamed figure using an unknown device to wield Malice. The unnamed figure summons the same Hollows from earlier to all attack, prompting Link to charge in. Despite maintaining a defensive position, the Hollow resembling Mipha clashes its trident against Link's Soldier's Broadsword while Link raises his shield to defend against arrows fired from the Hollow resembling Revali. Link's sword shatters while he attempts to block an attack from the Hollow resembling Daruk, only to be knocked backwards towards the Master Sword and leaving Zelda.

Seeking the opportunity, the unnamed figure orders the Hollows to kill her. However, the Hollows were stopped before they were able to reach Zelda, disintegrating from a glow that emanated from the Master Sword, with Link's hand near the hilt. Turning around, Link takes hold of the Master Sword and begins pulling it from its pedestal. The unnamed figure turns around to face Link in surprise and denial. Shortly after, Link removes the Master Sword and raises it into the air, as a blue glow emanated. Immediately, he turns around to face the unnamed figure, with his new sword raised.

The unnamed figure retreats and orders the Hollows to attack. Due to the power of the Link was able to overpower all four Hollows as the figure reappears near the pedestal of the Master Sword, revealing himself to be called Astor. The battle continues as Astor and Link fight, eventually causing Astor to resummon the Hollows while he protects himself. Shortly after defeating the Hollows again, Astor attempts to fight Link himself. Eventually, the battle ends with Astor retreating from battle, stating that the Master Sword was too powerful.

Link regroups with Zelda and the Divine Beast Pilot arrive. Behind the Master Sword pedestal, the Great Deku Tree awakens form his slumber, stating that the Master Sword has chosen its user and encouraging Zelda to continue pursuing her purpose of unlocking her powers. He reassures her by stating that she has all that is needed to defeat the Great Calamity, gazing towards Link and the Divine Beast Pilot.
