So you guys may have noticed that I haven't been in for a while. That's because for the past few days I've been in bed with ''(what is assumed to be)'' pneumonia. Woo-hoo!<br>
== Color ==
I'll still be jumping in every now and then to check for vandals and such, but the actual patrolling-of-edits is going to be quite backlogged for a while ''(unless Adam feels like playing a little catch-up for me? :D)''. Stay radical. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 14:39, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeaah thanks. I like this wiki, it has a nice feeling to it. {{User:Plumber/JohnHancock}} 22:58, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

:Yeah, I've noticed that. Because I don't own all the Zelda games, therefore meaning that I'm not one to add knowledge to pages, until I actually finish some games and start buying some classics, I usually look at he recent changes too. I've been noticing and saying "Where's Matt and Ando?". You both have been gone. Anyway, I hope you get better soon. {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 14:44, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
==Help Guide==

:Hows the pneumonia? Fifth day and counting that you've been backlogged. {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 13:00, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi there, just wanted to get your thoughts on a few points since the new-fangled Help Guide is your project ;)
<br/>As you know, for a long time [[Help:Editing]] was our only real help page, and a stopgap until we got something better (like now!) Clearly it's almost redundant now, hence it not being linked from the Help template, but I was wondering what should be done with it? It still has some information not covered in other sections (although I haven't read it all, so I can't say exactly what.) Based on that, I'm not sure if it should just be cut down and simplified, or broken up into sections and incorporated into the main guide, or just deleted!
<br/>Also, we still have Help:Changing featured content, which I wrote a while back when I was the only one with all the steps in my head! Despite the fact that the process has changed with the new Featured rotation templates, there's still stuff in there related to the actual administrative task of shifting and reformatting text from the voting page to the archive etc. I was wondering if maybe we should take that and incorporate it into another help page all about Featured content (voting procedures and rules, administrative stuff like this, disqualification and related procedures, replacement of existing images etc...) {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 08:35, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

::I'm just about completely back on my feet, actually, thanks. I've been dropping in more and more and patrolling a few edits when the time permits. I've been out of bed for longer than two minutes, so that's good. :P I should be back in full action within the next day or so. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 18:05, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
:Righto, hmm...
:Pretty much the only content covered on [[Help:Editing]] that isn't covered elsewhere is the <nowiki>__NOEDITSECTION__</nowiki> code and variables such as NUMBEROFARTICLES. So really I'm not sure that it could co-exist with the guide on its own with so little content; a merging with one of the current help guide pages would make more sense to me. Probably [[Help:Getting Started]] or something.
:As for Help:Changing featured content, your idea of a Featured Content page explaining what it all is, '''voting rules''', and all of that other stuff sounds like a great idea. I'm not sure why I didn't think of it myself! :P I say we do that. {{:User:Ando1400@legacy41958204/sig}} 14:13, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

:::Awesome. As for me, I've found out i'll be leaving on the morning of the 18th for a good 3-4 days in Pennsylvania. I'll be back on the 21st then. That saddens me though. Knowing I come back on the 21st means i'll only have a week and a half 'till school starts. In case anybody doesn't know, i despise school. Why do they have to take away 7 hours (In my case) that could be spent with family? Thankfully it's a Wednesday, meaning that I only have 3 days until the first weekend. {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 18:33, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
::I've merged a few bits of useful stuff from Help:Editing into Help:Getting Started, and removed what seemed unnecessary. I'll find a home for what's left soon. I think I'll leave the writing of [[Help:Featured Content]] to you, since you're clearly better at this stuff! You're good at simplifying, whereas I go into too much detail and end up making it more complicated :/ {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 20:38, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

:::Heh, I clicked to edit Help:Getting Started anyway to fix a couple of issues I'd missed before and just happened to get this message. But yes! You seem to have merged all of the good stuff ''(and some of the stuff I forgot about entirely >_>)''. I'll work on touching it up as much as I can.
:::Also, thanks. :D Yeah, I'll do the Help:Featured Content page. {{:User:Ando1400@legacy41958204/sig}} 20:46, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

== In Other Languages ==
I have finally decided to be serious with my Zeldawiki account.
Not sure if you noticed or not. But your new 'In other languages' template seems to be.... invisible? :/ [[User:Midoro|The Goron Moron]] 20:58, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
I am trying my best to help as much as I can. I was just wondering a few things.
Can I upload pictures I have saved to my computer?
I tried yesterday with a picture I drew of Majora's Wrath but it didn't work.
What is jpg? Apparently the picture was lacking jpg.  Thanks. [[User:CoreyPotter|CoreyPotter]] 16:41, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

:Yes, you can upload pictures from a computer. I'm assuming that you already know the basic process, as it sounds like you've already tried ''(clicking "upload file" then browsing for the image)''. Regarding "jpg", it's a type of file. Other image files are "gif", "png", and "bmp". The Wiki software only accepts certain types of images ''(.png, .gif, .jpg, and .jpeg)''. To see what type of image you have, right-click the image and select "properties". It will have a field saying "Type of file: [something] image". If the [something] isn't one of the above types, then the image can't be uploaded, and you'll need to save it as a different type.
:At first glance, perhaps! But it is, in fact, not a template -- you may notice a new section under the toolbox on the left sidebar on every page that uses this coding. "In other languages: Deutsch". Just like on Wikipedia! :O
:To do this, simply open the image in an image editor such as Paint. Select "Save as..." and change the file type to an accepted type using the drop-down menu. You can then upload the file.
:Adding <code><nowiki>[[de:name of the german version of the article]]</nowiki></code> automatically adds this section and the link. It's awesome! {{:User:Ando1400@legacy41958204/sig}} 21:00, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
:I hope that I made sense here. ;) {{:User:Ando/sig}} 16:55, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

::Some words of Wisdom. First of all, .jpg and .jpeg are the same. They both stand for JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group). A JPEG is really only good for complex images that use up to 256 colors. .gif stands for GIF (Graphics Interchange Format). If you have a moving image, you can only use GIF. GIF can move and store up to 256 colors, making them better than JPEG. Lastly, we have PNG (Portable Network Graphics). This can store transparent images. It also holds thousands of colors, making it better than GIF or JPEG. A format i'd like to see this wiki add is MNG. MNG (Multiple-image Network Grahics) is like PNG but supports animation. Too bad IE and Safari are too lame to support MNG. Another reason to use Firefox :D<br />
==Suggestion==
File formats from worst to best GIF -> JPEG -> PNG. {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 17:32, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
[[User talk:Pascal2903@legacy41959290|2903@legacy41959290|2903@legacy41959290|#Suggestion|FYI, please read]], thanks! {{:User:Adam660@legacy41957735/sig}} 23:23, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

I might add that animated png's are only supported in Firefox 3.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">22:16, August 11, 2008 (UTC)</span>
==Beta Beaver Falls Race==

:PNG, saved properly, is always smaller than GIF.  Save a PNG image in 256 colors and it will be equal quality but a smaller size than a GIF image. The only advantage GIF has is animation. The format [[Wikipedia:APNG|APNG]] is better than MNG. APNG displays a still image (the first frame) on browsers, programs, and image previewers that don't support it, whereas MNG just won't show up at all. APNG uses the *.png suffix on files so we'd be able to upload them without having to change the accepted upload formats. A correction to my old statement: APNG is supported in Firfox 3, but MNG is not supported at all.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">00:28, August 12, 2008 (UTC)</span>
Hi there, i went to check on the page Beaver falls race and was quite suprised to find that the edit i made was gone, so i checked it out and found out you'd deleted it due to the fact that there was no proof which i have no problem with as your an admin, thats your jod for all you know that could be utter jibberish, anyway i went searching and was able to find proof such as:

I am very proud!  With your help I was able to get my picture on the Wiki, and I figured out how to put it on my page! I'm so happy!  Mjora's Wrath looks so mean and purple! Unfortunatley I ruined the picture( the real one ) by trying to draw Majora's Incarnation in the back. Now it looks like fecal matter.  Oh well... But thanks so much you guys![[User:CoreyPotter|CoreyPotter]] 01:36, 14 August 2008 (UTC)CoreyPotter
[[File:Beta stickcollecting.jpg]]

:Awesome, good job! And also extra points for keeping it on your user page and not trying to add it to the article ''(since fan art doesn't go on articles)''. Nice picture, by the way. ;) {{:User:Ando/sig}} 04:30, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

::Yeah, it's an awesome pic! Just remember to write your text, press enter, type the templates in, press enter, type in the next one, ad so on, so it looks nicer. Good first try though, it was a very small mistake. {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 13:54, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
:''"Originally while racing the Beavers you also had to collect sticks to help build their dam. "At Spaceworld '99, the Zora power was demonstrated during an interesting race of sorts where Link tries to keep up with two beavers and help them gather drift wood for their dam"''.

:From what I gathered, that was a glitch. If I'm not mistaken, on the page you edited, you stated it as ''fact''. {{:User:Mandi2517@legacy41958928/sig}}

My brother forced(Yes, FORCED!) me to post a picture that is blasphamous, how do I delete it? I'm still a total n00b about  everything here.[[User:CoreyPotter|CoreyPotter]] 00:09, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
::I Personally have beat the game several times. I believe Ando has aswell. No one remembers such an event taking place. That was why the edit was erased. Which, if that ''was'' indeed a glitch, that would explain a few things. But, I'll shut up :P{{:User:Mandi2517@legacy41958928/sig}}

:??????? Wh-what is that picture?? That's bizarre. But yeah, only [[Zelda Wiki.org:Administrators|administrators]] ''(also split into the sub-groups of "Bureaucrats" and "Sysops")'' can delete things. If you'd like something deleted, type '''<nowiki>{{delete}}</nowiki>''' in that page, and it'll show up in the "Articles for deletion" category. That will let me or the other admins know that it should be deleted. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 01:51, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Ah, really? I'll be honest, I'd never seen that before! But with this information you've provided me, I'm now completely fine with this being on the page ''(with, perhaps, a little more info to clarify that it is indeed a fact; something like referencing that page you linked to)''.<br/>
Also, Mandi, this is a little different from a glitch; it's actually the beta version of the race -- the way the race was ORIGINALLY supposed to be before it was changed some time during the game's development. Sort of like how there are screenshots of an older build of Ocarina of Time showing the Forest Medallion as a usable item. It was originally planned for it to be like that, but they changed that before the game's release. {{:User:Ando1400@legacy41958204/sig}} 18:39, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks I noticed that it was deleted. My brother was pissed! Haha. But I can't upload my poster. It will be 3 by 1.5 FEET and my scanner isn't that big.[[User:CoreyPotter|CoreyPotter]] 17:17, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
thanks, i get on that soon but i need to go to school now, thanks for your time. :) [[User:Calibure@legacy41959092|Calibure]] 03:39, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

:Dang it. Oh well. At least tell me how awesome it is when you're done. :P {{:User:Ando/sig}} 17:35, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
== Dungeon Item List ==
Hey... Sorry to bother you but if I'm not mistaken, you are at least a moderator of this site, are you not? Do you think an Equipment category for items earned from dungeons or similar exploits would be an acceptable article? I'm just thinking it would make it easier to find that stuff...
With respect and humility, Alliram. 00:45, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

::Why don't you just scan certain sections of it. Like the top, then the bottom, then we put it together. {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 18:01, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
:Hey there! Do you mean something like '''[[Dungeon Item List|this]]'''? That page isn't really linked to enough so most people don't know that it exists... :P Also, all of those items are already in [[:Category:Items]], which lists everything alphbetically instead of by game and dungeon like the other list does. Or do you mean some other sort of format entirely? {{:User:Ando1400@legacy41958204/sig}} 03:39, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
:<small>Also, as a sub-note, I'm not an overly-active admin anymore, so if you'd like to better guarantee a quick response, [[User:Emma|Emma]] or [[User:Adam660@legacy41957735|Adam]] or really any one of our more active members would likely be a better source of getting-an-answer-fast than I. ;)</small>

I was thinking of scanning certain parts, I might do that with my EPIC Wind Wakre poster( I make them for all the games I've played beaten or like. ) But I have been working on a very neat way to right that makes letters 3D and holographic like and it really empahasizes MMs' game effects. Link is hard to draw. I don't know why. I can make a FLAWLESS( almost at least )TP Link but MM and Oot Links I can't get right. Oh well.... Also does any on have any good moon pictures?[[User:CoreyPotter|CoreyPotter]] 23:21, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh... Okay... Thanks for the info... maybe this list is what I'm looking for... TY again :D

== Featured Content ==
== Great Cataclysm Vandalism ==
Just a reminder. [[Template:FA/35]] is open for the next featured article. We still have to update the script. Don't forget to update the [[Zelda Wiki.org:Featured Article schedule|Featured Article schedule]]. By the way, are we going to have the even-numbered templates like [[Template:FP/34|this]] or like [[Template:FA/34|this]]? I think that including the odd-numbered ones just like a template is better than redirecting. But that is just me.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">22:16, August 11, 2008 (UTC)</span>

:Right. After these past few instances, I've learned to go through the templates to see what's happening first before I decide on one to place the new content. D: Anyway, I believe that the reason I made them redirect was mainly for ease-of-editing - if I see a problem with the current featured content, I go to edit the main page and see which FA / FP template it's calling. Since it redirects, regardless of which of the two templates it is, I always get taken to the one I need to edit. It's just an ease-of-editing thing. It's the quickest way I can think of to getting to the thing I need to edit. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 22:24, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Hello there. Sorry to trouble you, but [[User:Ganondorfdude11|Ganondorfdude11]] continuously tries to remove the theory section of the Great Cataclysm page b/c it doesn't conform to his own personal views. I am writing to request intervention to keep him from removing the theory section and all evidence it presents. [[User:Christopher-gpuser|Link87]] 04:19, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

::I guess that is true. The featured article ones seem to need more editing than the featured images do though. But I think we should changed the featured image templates to be like the last one, [[Template:FP/33|FP/33]]. The option '''''frameless''''' works exactly like '''''thumb''''' does only without a frame. It looks a lot better that way.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">22:32, August 11, 2008 (UTC)</span>
:The admin list lists Ando as inactive. He won't answer. Stay with the active ones.{{:User:Emma/sig|~}} 05:22, June 5, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, sounds good. We couldn't use "frameless" on images with captions, though; the frame is the only thing displaying them. With "frameless", the caption becomes alt text. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 03:23, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

:But the captions aren't necessary since the whole template is supposed to be describing the image. It is redundant to have captions.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">03:32, August 12, 2008 (UTC)</span>

::Oh! Right, we're talking about featured pictures, not featured articles. Whoops. :P {{:User:Ando/sig}} 05:05, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

==Seriousness, and Images==
Hey, I'm right beside CoreyPotter and am taking my ZeldaWiki account seriously now. And one way i have noticed in being helpful with the site is by adding images to pages that need them. So if it is not a bother, is it possible to direct me to some pages that are in desperate need of an Image? OH and 99% of the images i upload are not from any site and are one of a kind Screen Captures taken by me and my computer. Thanks a lot and I'm looking forward to helping with the site :) [[User:Onyx|Onyx]] 01:14, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

:Check [[:Category:Image requested|here]]. It isn't a complete list, but it has a lot.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">01:19, August 12, 2008 (UTC)</span>

::And if you're feeling a little ambitious, hitting "Random Page" and seeing what shows up could have its success as well. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 03:23, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

==Permission to create a new page?==
Hey Ando, do you think i can create a new (theory) page pertaining to the man who used to live in the house where the well is. Since i have seen a few straight up theory pages, and considering that this one has lots of evidence. Do you think it is possible to make such a page? I'm just wondering cause this theory is really good. It's on the Bongo Bongo. Thanks! [[User:Onyx|Onyx]] 19:20, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

:Erm, a theory page? Don't we have one of those? If we don't however, maybe it should be put under a new section in the page [[Bongo-Bongo]]. That's where most theories are places (I believe). Either there or your user page... {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 19:22, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

:: I mean like the [[Great Flood]] that's a whole page based on a theory but the [[Bongo-Bongo]] speculation is already on it's page so it doesn't matter either way i guess. K just wondering! [[User:Onyx|Onyx]] 19:31, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, the Great Flood was an event that occurred in Zelda history. Major events have articles ''(like the Imprisoning War, etc.)''. This doesn't strike me as something that would need a whole article. A section on the Bongo-Bongo page, sure, yeah. I'm not even sure what a page about that would be called. :/ "The Man Who Lived in the Kakariko House Who Might be Bongo-Bongo"?? :P<br>
Thanks for asking before making a potentially... controversial? article, though. Much appreciated. ;) {{:User:Ando/sig}} 03:47, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Hey! On the Castle Page it requested that someone put up pictures of the entrances of the Dungeons. I completed the request, and i noticed that you can change that page. So maybe if you could, since the request was completed, remove the request from the page? -[[User:Onyx|Onyx]] 18:51, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

:Hey there, and thanks for your uploads! Unfortunately, as you can see on [[Dungeons in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time|this page]], the request actually ISN'T complete; we still require images for Dodongo's Cavern, the Ice Temple, the Spirit Temple, and Ganon's Castle. Perhaps I should start going through Ocarina of Time again and take some screenshots. :P {{:User:Ando/sig}} 05:34, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

::oops! sorry Ando. I only saw the partial list :P NO worries, I'll get started on the rest of the dungeons right away! -[[User:Onyx|Onyx]] 20:02, 23 August 2008 (UTC) EDIT: Alright! :::: Check out [[Dungeons in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask|this page]]! I know it wasn't requested but i wanted it to be similar, so i added screenshots of the opening dungeon cutscenes of Majora's Mask when you first enter it. Is it ok? -[[User:Onyx|Onyx]] 19:43, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that looks great, actually. Hm, I wonder if we should start doing this for every dungeon? But how to handle the 2D games'? Maybe just a screenshot of the first screen of that particular dungeon? {{:User:Ando/sig}} 22:04, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

:Isn't there a unique arrangement of statues with eyes that follow you in the first room of every dungeon of the Oracle games? That'll do for those two games.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">22:51, August 24, 2008 (UTC)</span>

Indeed it is, sir! Wow, you're pretty quick with this stuff. :O Much better than the maps we had before, in my opinion. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 18:45, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

::You say "Sorry it took me a few days" as if I'm gonna get mad at you; but ''you actually did it'', so that's totally awesome. :P Say, you wouldn't happen to have a video capture card, would you? Seems to me the only way to get ''(good)'' images of ''The Wind Waker'' and ''Twilight Princess''; ''Phantom Hourglass'' I'm not even sure. :/ {{:User:Ando/sig}} 02:24, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

:::I'll spill my secret haha. Actually Windows Vista has a built in Screen Capturer. and i go to youtube.com and take the images there. Thats how i've gotten 99% of the images i've uploaded. -[[User:Onyx|Onyx]] 02:32, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

== Edit Count ==

What you said made me think... The <span class="plainlinks">[http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:EditCount EditCount extension]</span> can provide that same information. It gives you the edit count per namespace. Best of all, it is not the same edit count extension that Wikia has! :P{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">21:17, August 25, 2008 (UTC)</span>

:It also provides a parser function that you can use to update your edit count on your page automatically.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">21:21, August 25, 2008 (UTC)</span>

I was hoping there would be something like this. Would you be able to post it on your user page? (I know you can with other parser functions). I was hoping there was one for time too, if I'm in a rush sometimes like right now, it would be easier to paste a template than to change the time. {{:User:MARKOL/sig}}

== What's Up? ==

You haven't been around much lately. You just jump in and make a few quick edits and then leave. Is there something going on? I think that there is quite a backlog of unpatrolled edits. I seem to be dominating the <span class="plainlinks">[http://zeldawiki.org/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=patrol Patrol Log]</span> right now. And I'm not even trying to. I'm just curious. But I guess I have to be careful. Someone told me that curiosity can kill the Matt. :P {{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">22:03, August 29, 2008 (UTC)</span>

:Eh, the chemo nausea's gotten a bit worse ''(I... did mention that I've started chemo for these tumors, right?)'', so I've been a bit more bed-ridden. When I can, I come in, check edits real quick ''(mainly those made by newer accounts to verify non-vandalismness)'', see if there are any pressing issues ''(vandalism, some discussion, etc.)'', and move on. I haven't been patrolling many edits made by our "trusted members" unless I've got reason to suspect something. But yeah, thanks for checking in, man. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 23:33, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

::Oh crap you started chemo? That sucks. Aren't you going to get side effects like hair loss and stuff. Oh, this has got to suck. I feel so sorry for you. Also: 13:11, July 11, 2008 Adamcox82 (Talk | contribs) changed group membership for User:Mjr162006 from (none) to autopatrol ‎ (You make too many edits and too few mistakes ;)). What happened to me? I'd like auto-patrol and i'll do it plz. {{nosig|Seablue254|00:04, 30 August 2008 (UTC)}}

:::Well, I think the exact words are "I haven't been patrolling many edits made by our "trusted members" unless I've got reason to suspect something." Trusted member. It's not like either you or Adam check all his edits anyway. Doing that will clear up the unpatrolled edits list a little bit. Perhaps Markol too.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">00:11, August 30, 2008 (UTC)</span>

::::I still dont understand why I can't get autopatrol rights. {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 00:17, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, that is what I said. You might as well have them.{{:User:Mjr162006/sig}} <span style="color:#C0C0C0;">00:23, August 30, 2008 (UTC)</span>

:Oh. Misread that! Sorry! {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 00:27, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

::Yeh, chemo. No hair loss, though; it's a "low-grade" chemo, whatever that's supposed to mean. :P
::Autopatrol... The point of it ''(as we use it, anyway)'' is to catch large amount of similar edits that a user is more or less ALWAYS doing ''(such as, in your case, Matt, redirect-fixes and template edits, which are basically impossible to screw up and leave that way)''. However, regardless of autopatrol, I still check all non-purely link-fix mainspace edits, since they sometimes need to be reverted for whatever reason ''(yes, even the autopatrolled Matt)''. So really, I see no reason to autopatrol Sea and MARKOL since they rarely make these types of edits. Every now and then, sure, but not as often. Hence, I don't see a reason to autopatrol them. {{:User:Ando/sig}} 02:05, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

:::I make tons of Image Edits every now and then. Wouldn't that be a reason? {{:User:Seablue254/sig}} 13:22, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Help Guide

Hi there, just wanted to get your thoughts on a few points since the new-fangled Help Guide is your project ;)
As you know, for a long time Help:Editing was our only real help page, and a stopgap until we got something better (like now!) Clearly it's almost redundant now, hence it not being linked from the Help template, but I was wondering what should be done with it? It still has some information not covered in other sections (although I haven't read it all, so I can't say exactly what.) Based on that, I'm not sure if it should just be cut down and simplified, or broken up into sections and incorporated into the main guide, or just deleted!
Also, we still have Help:Changing featured content, which I wrote a while back when I was the only one with all the steps in my head! Despite the fact that the process has changed with the new Featured rotation templates, there's still stuff in there related to the actual administrative task of shifting and reformatting text from the voting page to the archive etc. I was wondering if maybe we should take that and incorporate it into another help page all about Featured content (voting procedures and rules, administrative stuff like this, disqualification and related procedures, replacement of existing images etc...) Adam [ talk ] 08:35, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Righto, hmm...
Pretty much the only content covered on Help:Editing that isn't covered elsewhere is the __NOEDITSECTION__ code and variables such as NUMBEROFARTICLES. So really I'm not sure that it could co-exist with the guide on its own with so little content; a merging with one of the current help guide pages would make more sense to me. Probably Help:Getting Started or something.
As for Help:Changing featured content, your idea of a Featured Content page explaining what it all is, voting rules, and all of that other stuff sounds like a great idea. I'm not sure why I didn't think of it myself! :P I say we do that. —Ando (talk) 14:13, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I've merged a few bits of useful stuff from Help:Editing into Help:Getting Started, and removed what seemed unnecessary. I'll find a home for what's left soon. I think I'll leave the writing of Help:Featured Content to you, since you're clearly better at this stuff! You're good at simplifying, whereas I go into too much detail and end up making it more complicated :/ Adam [ talk ] 20:38, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Heh, I clicked to edit Help:Getting Started anyway to fix a couple of issues I'd missed before and just happened to get this message. But yes! You seem to have merged all of the good stuff (and some of the stuff I forgot about entirely >_>). I'll work on touching it up as much as I can.
Also, thanks. :D Yeah, I'll do the Help:Featured Content page. —Ando (talk) 20:46, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

In Other Languages

Not sure if you noticed or not. But your new 'In other languages' template seems to be.... invisible? :/ The Goron Moron 20:58, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

At first glance, perhaps! But it is, in fact, not a template -- you may notice a new section under the toolbox on the left sidebar on every page that uses this coding. "In other languages: Deutsch". Just like on Wikipedia! :O
Adding [[de:name of the german version of the article]] automatically adds this section and the link. It's awesome! —Ando (talk) 21:00, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Beta Beaver Falls Race

Hi there, i went to check on the page Beaver falls race and was quite suprised to find that the edit i made was gone, so i checked it out and found out you'd deleted it due to the fact that there was no proof which i have no problem with as your an admin, thats your jod for all you know that could be utter jibberish, anyway i went searching and was able to find proof such as:

and if this is not enough to take in to consideration go to http://www.jaytheham.com/zc/mm.php?page=mmbot. Calibure 15:57, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

"Originally while racing the Beavers you also had to collect sticks to help build their dam. "At Spaceworld '99, the Zora power was demonstrated during an interesting race of sorts where Link tries to keep up with two beavers and help them gather drift wood for their dam".
From what I gathered, that was a glitch. If I'm not mistaken, on the page you edited, you stated it as fact. Mandi Talk
I Personally have beat the game several times. I believe Ando has aswell. No one remembers such an event taking place. That was why the edit was erased. Which, if that was indeed a glitch, that would explain a few things. But, I'll shut up :PMandi Talk

Ah, really? I'll be honest, I'd never seen that before! But with this information you've provided me, I'm now completely fine with this being on the page (with, perhaps, a little more info to clarify that it is indeed a fact; something like referencing that page you linked to).
—Ando (talk) 18:39, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

thanks, i get on that soon but i need to go to school now, thanks for your time. :) Calibure 03:39, 12 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Dungeon Item List

Hey there! Do you mean something like this? That page isn't really linked to enough so most people don't know that it exists... :P Also, all of those items are already in Category:Items, which lists everything alphbetically instead of by game and dungeon like the other list does. Or do you mean some other sort of format entirely? —Ando (talk) 03:39, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Also, as a sub-note, I'm not an overly-active admin anymore, so if you'd like to better guarantee a quick response, Emma or Adam or really any one of our more active members would likely be a better source of getting-an-answer-fast than I. ;)

Oh... Okay... Thanks for the info... maybe this list is what I'm looking for... TY again :D With respect and humility, Alliram 12:04, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Great Cataclysm Vandalism

Hello there. Sorry to trouble you, but Ganondorfdude11 continuously tries to remove the theory section of the Great Cataclysm page b/c it doesn't conform to his own personal views. I am writing to request intervention to keep him from removing the theory section and all evidence it presents. Link87 04:19, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The admin list lists Ando as inactive. He won't answer. Stay with the active ones.Emma (Talk) 05:22, June 5, 2009 (UTC)
