Question
Hi, Jeangabin! I have a question about this article which you created. It has been brought to our attention that some portions of the article are similar to the article found on Zeldapedia. This coincides with several other new articles you've created, which have also had numerous similarities. Some have even had sentences copied word for word. Now, I'd like to ask you fairly: have you been copying, paraphrasing, or referencing their articles when creating ones on Zelda Wiki? Please give us an honest, straight answer. 00:43, 22 August 2010 (EDT)
:In no way, this comes mainly from the characters lists found here on ZW. Jeangabin 08:15, 22 August 2010 (EDT)
While we truely want to believe you, there is evidence suggesting you copied from us, such as this revision
http://zeldawiki.org/index.php?title=Mage&oldid=231862

"Despite supporting Vaati, they are not harmful enough to be considered enemies. {Despite the fact that the Mages are followers of Vaati, they aid Link many times throughout the stages. One Mage gives Link a Moon Pearl needed to open a Moon Gate. Another gives him the Magic Book to give to another Mage, Iris. One Mage claims he created the Bombos and Quake Medallions and allows Link to use a Quake Medallion.}

Hey Jeangabin, nice to see you back! The staff and I have noticed even prior to your "vacation" that you are a big fan of what we like to call "speed editing". It's great for putting in pipelinks and small content fixes, but we've noticed that there are many mistakes left in your final revisions that could've been prevented if more time was spent on the edits themselves!

This is almost direct text, fully, in some cases, to that of Zeldapedia's Mage article. It is even more interesting because you repeat the same sentence twice, "Despite supporting Vaati, they are not harmful enough to be considered enemies. {Despite the fact that the Mages are followers of Vaati, they aid Link many times throughout the stages", One of them being the same text from Zeldapedia, and it seems that you deleted the old sentence after paraphrasing the original. In other words, this catches you in the act of copying from there, so if you are prepared to deny it once more, I have nothing further to address. 09:10, 22 August 2010 (EDT)
All we're saying is that, even when putting in pipelinks and such, it would be in your best interest to sssssllllooowww dddooooowwwnnn when editing so you can completely fix any mistakes in the content you've written, before moving on or making another edit! You are one of our most active editors, and we'd hate for you to make any mistakes while "speed editing" - no doubt many of the editors here look up to your editing capabilities! Good to have you back. :D 18:45, 30 August 2010 (EDT)

Hey JG, you are a french student, right? Does that mean you are fluent in French, or just an international student studying in France? If it is the former, I have an interesting task for you! Hey,
::We're not doing it to "make the people from ZP happy". You plagarized from their site, you will get the consequences. You plagarize from anywhere and we find out, you will get the consequences. Plagarism anywhere will result in consequences - in the real world, or online. There is a difference between researching information and inserting sentences into an article from another site and paraphrasing them, moving them around, or even keeping them in their original state. That is plagarism, and it is looked down upon everywhere. Jeangabin, we are taking action in compliance with our policy. Please take responsibility for your actions - we can't just let you continue to copy information from ZP or other sites. 12:12, 22 August 2010 (EDT)

Lately I've been doing some editing on the Link's Awakening Trading Sequence pages, adding the names in other regions to each item and whatnot. Anyways, I just wanted to ask how certain you are of your translations, since I've noticed you've done most of the work on the Link's Awakening Translations page. Some of your translations don't seem to come up in the Zelda Legends Japanese Text dump, which you can find here

While I'm here, I want to congratulate you on all your great work with the wiki. Every obscure article I look at, it seems like it's you that's behind it. Way to stand up for the little guys!

Hi, pal. I know you haven't been active for quite long, but when you are, would you like to help us translate (and/or add) the French names for the items. places, characters and enemies/boses in the series? I have done the same for the Spanish names, but so far that language and Japanese are the only ones translated. Thanks in advance =). -- 12:27, 1 December 2010 (EST)
