EX Champion Urbosa's Song is a Main Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1] It is part of The Champions' Ballad DLC Pack.

Overview

Link can begin the Quest after finishing the trials of the Great Plateau during the Main Quest, "EX The Champions' Ballad". At this point, the One-Hit Obliterator will split into four glowing orbs and scatter to different areas of Hyrule, revealing four Ancient structures called Monuments. One of the Monuments appears at East Gerudo Mesa southeast of the Divine Beast Vah Naboris. The Monument is made up of a small platform and three small pillars. As Link approaches the Monument, he will hear the voice of a Monk. As it speaks, the pillars activates. It explains that each pillar contains display a map that reveals the location of a trial that Link must undergo within the Gerudo Region.[2] Kass, who is nearby, proceeds to sing him a part of his teacher's Unfinished Song, which provides instructions for completing all three trials.[3]

Link can complete the trials in any order. By defeating the Molduking is the East Barrens, he will unlock Keive Tala Shrine. Sand-Seal Surfing through a series of blue rings in the West Barrens will reveal Takama Shiri Shrine. Finally, retrieving an Ancient Orb from the Yiga Clan Hideout and throwing it into the pit outside will unearth Kihiro Moh Shrine. Each of the Shrines rewards Link with a Naboris's Emblem.[4] After completing all three shrines, the Monk of the final Shrine will instruct him to go to the Divine Beast Vah Naboris.[5]

Once Link arrives, he will once again hear the voice of a Monk. The voice informs him that in exchange for Naboris's Emblems, he will be taken to a world within his memories to face a trial.[6] Link will then find himself inside Naboris as Thunderblight Ganon appears again. However, Link's equipment will be different. He starts off equipping the full Desert Voe Set upgraded to 2 stars per piece, the Scimitar of the Seven, and the Daybreaker Shield. In his inventory, Link holds an Edge of Duality, a Shield of the Mind's Eye, a Voltfruit, a Zapshroom, and one piece of Raw Meat.

After defeating the phantasm, Link will return to find Kass, who then sings Link "Champion Urbosa's Song".[7] This allows Link to visualize the Recovered Memory "Champion Urbosa's Song" from 100 years ago.[7] The Memory shows Princess Zelda seeking Urbosa in Gerudo Town to request assistance in defeating Calamity Ganon. After the Memory ends, Urbosa will speak to Link, saying he is an impressive voe and allowing him wield Urbosa's Fury more often.[8] The skill will be upgraded to Urbosa's Fury +, which reduces its recharge time to 4 minutes. After receiving the upgrade, the Quest is complete.
