The Letter is the ninth item in the Trading Sequence in Link's Awakening.[3] It is received from Christine the Goat in Animal Village after giving her the Hibiscus. She gives Link the task of delivering her Letter to Mr. Write in western Goponga Swamp.[4] As thanks for his efforts, Mr. Write gives Link his Broom in exchange.[5] The Letter also includes a photograph signed by Christine, which is in reality a photograph of Princess Peach from the Super Mario series.[6]

Ocarina of Time

In Ocarina of Time, a Letter in a Bottle can be found in Lake Hylia. It is a Letter from Princess Ruto that must be delivered to King Zora in order to gain access to Zora's Fountain.

The Wind Waker

In The Wind Waker, Letters addressed to Link are read after being retrieved and are then discarded. A Letter Sorting minigame can also be played in Dragon Roost Island.

Four Swords Adventures

In Twilight Princess, the Postman can deliver up to 16 Letters to Link. They can be stored and viewed in the Collection screen.

Phantom Hourglass

In Phantom Hourglass, the Postman will fly to any wobbling Mailbox after Link checks it, reading any letter to him. Fuzo will send a Letter after any four new Big Plays are earned in Battle Mode, informing Link of his prize.

Spirit Tracks
